I actually won this hotel stay as I won a Shaun the Sheep in the City competition that Apex ran. I was very impressed with the hotel. The room we was given was a Junior Suite(highest costing room you can get in the hotel) and it was beautiful. We was set on the 2nd floor and the room well rooms which consisted of 3 rooms was all a great size, clean and bright. The lounge area had a sofa, a large widescreen TV, music system, coffee machine and a working desk area. The bedroom had a nice kingsize bed which was very comfy, a velvet sofa, built in cupboards, coffee machine, safe, large long drop blackout deluxe curtains, large TV and music system. The bathroom was a very large bathroom all in beige, consisted of a large shower cubicle with many shower nossels coming from out of the wall as well from the ceiling, a bath, sink and toilet of course. Don’t forget your duck from the bathroom as you can use the duck to enter a competition to win another hotel stay with them. Take your duck on your travels and you never know if you post your pic of your duck you may win a stay. Some Junior suites come with balconies ours dident but we had a nice view of a courtway with trees and another view of a building with amazing statues of people on it. The breakfast was tasty and hot. The staff at the hotel was also very welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I certainly will return one day.

This is a great hotel tucked away in the city. It’s very nice and cozy. The rooms are nice and very clean. The staff is very kind and courteous. The subway is very close so you can get to anywhere in the city with a short walk. It’s also far enough away that you get a nice peaceful sleep and are not kept up by loud noise all night.

This was a really nice and clean hotel. It was even roomier than I expected for a European hotel. The bed and bedding was quite comfortable and cozy. The service was good and the hotel had a decent restaurant/bar. My only issue with this hotel was the location and, possibly, the price(company paid for the hotel so I really could not complain — but it was fairly pricey). With regard to the location, I believe the hotel is predominately filled by those in London for business, so the tourist attractions are not within walking distance. You will need to hop on the tube to get anywhere. That said, I had a comfortable stay at this hotel.

Had a business lunch here — very pleasant space and ideal for not so fancy biz lunch. My friend had a timeout card so we ordered from a la carte menu with 50% off. The frilled fish and resotto were both pleasant. Nothing that would wow you but really decent quality. I found the pricing rather high £15+ for vegetarian pasta — resotto. Maybe priced for 50% off. With the disvount, it felt quite good value.

My husband and I stayed here on the tail end of our majestic honeymoon. In so many words, I had been feeling gravely ill by the time we got to London as I had not known I was pregnant and was experiencing severe nausea(actually diagnosed). I am so glad my hubby chose this hotel as it prefect suited my comfort needs and it greatly soothed my pain of nausea. Lol. The staff were very helpful, the room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was awesome(very important to me at that time.) The décor is very modern contemporary with clean simple lines. The bed was very comfortable and was a nice welcome after spending two weeks in less than great mattresses. The room was very clean and there were no strange odors when we first arrived. The only drawback(besides a slightly heftier price per not) is the fact that it’s in the business part of the city and so the nightlife around there is pretty much zilch outside of a couple of pubs nearby. But there are plenty of cheap eats nearby. Furthermore, it’s only a couple of blocks away from the train station so getting around is not difficult at all. We stayed there for three nights and four days and I was very happy. I would definitely recommend. I’ll upload photos soon.

Ordered: beer beer beer Price: £5.00 Review: I only like it because I have a discount, but it’s a nice bar tucked away from the main parts of the City. Check it out if you’re feeling like a slightly over priced beer.

This is a review of the bar only, I have not stayed here. The bar is quite small, but lovely and modern, clean and airy. There are seats and chairs outside, but they get pretty full if it’s a nice day. Inside there are lots of small tables along sofas, larger tables for four and a TV on the wall that’s not too intrusive. I like their coffee, but when I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, I got Chardonnay. It wasn’t bad, just not what I had ordered! It’s pretty soulless, but does have a few plug outlets scattered around that are useful for charing your phone/laptop/iPad etc. It’s easy to be here on your own and tap away on the iPad, or to meet someone for a quick coffee, but I wouldn’t stay here for a fun evening. Also, the service is pretty slow.

Overall an excellent hotel — service staff is nice, the gym is clean, and the rooms are very nicely appointed. My only irritation was my room window faced directly into the offices of another building. I wasnt paying attention when I arrived and definately did a huge naked dive for the curtains when I put two and two together! Normally I would not care, but lets be honest… the Queen wouldnt approve!

The Apex, London Wall was our hotel home for the week we stayed in town. It was sleek and nice and kind of reminded me of a W. Our room had wood floors throughout and a big, comfy king bed. There was a big flat screen plasma TV and a Bose radio to drop your iPod on to rock out. They had a big work desk and lights all around to keep things bright. The bath was also modern and had a soaker tub and a separate glass shower. The room could have used a little more storage space for couples and they most certainly need an alarm clock in the room. Which seemed like a big oversight. Other amenities in the room were great smelling bath products, coffee and biscuits, and still and sparkling waters each day. Room service was spot on and refilled everything each day without fail(and never seemed to take their tips-I’m not leaving that money to test you). That seemed to be a big problem at our last hotel. The gym downstairs had a bunch of equipment and was never too crowded. The bar/restaurant was the worst meal we had in town. So, that could certainly be improved. The hotel was also conveniently located by both the Bank and Liverpool Street tube stops, so we had all the options for the Underground that we needed. Service was great and had our room ready for us early, just as we arrived in town after a long flight. Love that. Hotel was quiet, bed was comfy and I slept like a baby all week. Cheers Apex.

You’ve been here before, i’ve been here before and in fact, we’ve probably seen one another there. The Bar in question is called Off The Wall. Yep, Jacko’s spinning in his grave as never has an establishment been so badly misnamed. This is one of the many of thousands of what i call McBars in London. There are hundreds in the Square Mile filled with a battered after-work crowd on any given day of the week. Nothing too exciting, just a great place to drown your workday sorrows — Monday to Friday — once the clock-watching stops. Drinks are way too pricey but the pistachio nuts are on point once consumed with a cold, tall brewski. No happy hour but then there’s not the meat market attention that is almost the norm in other city bars. See you there same time next week then?
