Applebee’s

The man and I sat at the bar for a drink and main course on a week night. We waited for quite a while — or maybe it just felt that way because we could see the delicious food being made before our eyes. I took the catch of the day which was a surprise selection of fish and seafood served with sauces and salad. The fish was spot on and the cherry on the top was a fresh scallop. I love a good scallop… The sauces were a little disappointing, nothing tailored, just the usual. The herby sauce was good though and the salad was delicious. My partner had a food old fish n chips which seemed satisfactory. This may be on the pricey side but then you’re paying for the location as well as the food. I’d go back.

Eaten here twice with the parents in law and been blown away. Amazing sea food, they had Madagascan prawns on special on our second visit that make my mouth water even now. Can’t recommend highly enough and worth the effort to travel to.
