I put in quite some effort in trying to decide which establishment should i review for my 100th. Lets review someplace different, i decided. I usually spend a lot of time, effort and money in eating at various places and thereby increasing my waistline. So why not review the place which helps me reduce that … if only a bit. Aquaterra leisure centre is an all in one sporting destination in Islington where lazy professionals like me can go on weekends and attempt to loosen up. It has facilities for football, fencing, table-tennis, squash, badminton, basketball etc, and there is also a gym within the premises. The courts can be booked for specific time slot and even the a-la-carte prices are not too high. Non-members can book a badminton court for £12 an hour, a tt table for £5 and a squash court £9.50 for a 40 minute session. The rates are significantly cheaper for members. But i didn’t have a badminton racquet. But thats not a problem. They provide all equipment for sale or hire at very reasonable prices. So one can just drop in and enjoy the games, as i have been doing regularly every weekend for the last several weeks :) The staff here is excellent. I have seen them removing the baskets and setting up the badminton nets on the common basketball-badminton courts in only a few minutes. My only complain with them so far has been that some of their drink vending machines were out of order the first couple of times i visited(i can’t keep myself off from food, can i ?). But other than that i have found aquaterra to be a perfectly new and healthy way to spend my saturday mornings :) Anybody who can is worse in badminton than me is cordially invited :)
