Arancini Brothers

I came in for the salad and came out happy. I ordered the salad box for £5. A nice-​sized portion of mixed greens with red cabbage, corn and various other veggies. I got a one mushroom and zucchini ball and it was delightful. A really good, filling value. I would defo return.

I’ve been a fan of Arancini Brothers for ages now, usually getting my arancini fix from the market by Southbank.
I haven’t been at a market though for ages and haven’t have any arancini for longer — so I was happily excited to see the Arancini Brothers logo when I was killing some time looking around the shops at Liverpool Street station.
I immediately went up the stairs into Broadgate and was rewarded with a tiny little shop with a limited menu — stew box, salad box, or wrap. I do think they did more but I was blinded by the arancini…
I really only wanted a box of 4 arancini with their lovely garlic mayo but thought I’d counteract the starch with some salad and went for the salad box. £4.50 I believe, for 4 arancini and some basic — but tasty — salad. As I went late in the day and they were going to close soon, the girl behind the counter gave me a couple extra arancini.
They were as good as ever, but as it was late they were a little on the hard side. However, they were still delicious and I didn’t leave a scrap of the arancini. The salad was fine — a lettuce mix, topped with shredded carrot with chickpeas, and then some jalapenos and crispy onions.
I’m definitely going to be going back soon during lunch time to get some arancini done up nice and fresh, and hopefully will be able to update this to the 5 star review I know they deserve when they’re on point.

This is a place I had heard LOTS about from my husband who used to work in the neighborhood and went here religiously a few times/​week for lunch. When I finally ended up in this area for work, I made it a point to look up the address for this place and lunch here. Firstly, I found it adorable that the person behind the till (presumably runs the place) was so flattered when I mentioned the referral… he gushed about how everything there is made fresh and on-​site. Secondly, I liked the simple and efficient menu at decent prices, which is perfect for lunch takeaways. After consulting my husband on this important decision, I went for a wrap with an interesting salad filling (olives, mushrooms, etc — yum), arancini balls (risotto balls), and an assortment of sauces. A very reasonable £4.50 for this area, nice. And then I spied the tantalising offer they had — a drink and a brownie/​blondie for another £1.50 — I tried my best to resist, but alas, I succumbed to the blondie! The wrap was crunchy, fresh and very hearty… the fillings were generous and risotto balls added serious substance. The blondie was a perfect tea-​time snack, not overly sweet and just perfect with its chunks of white chocolate… I am definitely going back here when I am in the area :)

The arancini are great!!! As well they should be!
I’ve been meaning to try this place since it opened and glad I did. I had the meat stew of the day which was lamb. the flavours were good and it came topped with a fresh salad and 3 arancini for £7. The only thing I would say is for the portion size I thought it was a bit over priced. It is comparable to their other stores so they’re not inflating for the bankers in the area which is always a good thing, however next time I’d probably give the salad with the arancini at £4.50.

Amazing risotto balls — every time I visit I can’t quite believe how good they are — again. All the food I’ve tried here has been delicious actually, and the salads seem to change regularly. The guys who run it are double cute too!

Finally vegetarian food that tastes good. I was at the Brunswick centre near Russell square tube on the weekend and by chance discovered a wonderful little farmers market. Being a vegetarian I always find it hard to find something original and tasty but I must say I just found it, Arancini risotto balls served with a hot ratatouille, yum yum yum cant wait till next Saturday.
