Artisan du Chocolat

O myyyy — are these the best chocolates I have tasted? YES! Along with the taste there is also a fantastic range and come Easter time this is increased to amazing Easter eggs and small eggs of all different flavours.
The shop did have a little funny smell on the Saturday morning we turned up but the lady serving was friendly & helpful and there was also a tonne of freebees — of which were really good chocolates!
We went for a beautiful banana & cinnamon egg, yuzu & ginger egg, one of their famous pistachio pearls and finally the liquid salted caramel. All of them were AMAZING! Delicious chocolate coating a gorgeous soft inner centre.
I could spend hours going through all the different chocolates and creating a lovely selection bag.
The prices aren’t ridiculous but are not cheap however they had some sale Valentine chocolate and we got a massive box (rrp £25) for £5 — cannot wait to try them as they were packed with some of the other flavours I wanted to try — passion fruit «O», dark truffle & white chocolate pearl. I haven’t even started on the rest of their O range or their standard couture chocolates; basi & lime, coconut praline, apple crumble.
They also have lots of bars which you can purchase — not as beautifully presented but nonetheless fabulous treats — and these slabs also consist of 2 which would be suitable for people with allergies to cows milk — goats milk & almond milk chocolate. Dying to try those!
Overall a lovely shop, decorated in a modern way, with gorgeous chocolates presented in a fab way. Cannot recommend enough!

The only boutique that provides you with a beverage menu, to fully experience the choctails, and chocolates to go with your cocktails. I had a tasting experience which was given to me as a gift, it was an insight as to how chocolate is made from the cocoa pod to the fermentation to the finished product which is seen on their shelves.
I tried a few of their chocolates, I loved the pearls the most, the texture, the coating and the flavours really stood out for me. Also I love how they cater for diabetics! A vast range of 100g chocolate bars, my favourite the Masala Chai, did last me a good few months. A great place for chocolate lovers, also the ceiling pod is constructed in pure chocolate, its so beautiful to look at!
If you do get a chance, or are in the area, please do check it out. Great for beginners who want to learn more about Chocolate!

I live 10 minutes away from this store and thank the lord for it!. Their macaroons are the best London has to offer! It’s a beautiful little shop with seating area just in case you want to indulge and rest … By Jove I needed to! I had salted caramel ice cream and apple pie macaroon. Soooooooo good! Very sweet so if you’re not a sweet tooth then dodge this place like the plague but if you love the sweet thangs in life get there now! And get me some macaroons while you’re there ;)

A nice high-​end chocolate shop. They have an impressive assortment of chocolate options, some more affordable than others, all very tasty. The staff is always friendly and happy to provide samples. Definitely worth checking out.

This is a really nice place for hardcore chocolate addicts. Not only is this a shop that sells chocolate, but it’s a shop that has a small menu for you to enjoy some chocolately goodness in the store.
The first time I went, I had a hot chocolate which came with two pieces (of my choosing) of chocolate. For me, the hot chocolate was a bit much. I originally wanted to go for the espresso hot chocolate, but they were out of it that day. I felt that would have helped cut down the chocolatey-​ness just a bit. The chocolates I had on the side were quite nice, though.
The second time I went, I went for the butter cake with chocolate dipping sauce. That faired a bit better for me. Since I could choose how much or how little I wanted, I could save myself from complete chocolate overload.
Something especially great about the in-​shop menu is that everything is reasonably priced (mostly under £5!).
If you’re a hardcore chocolate fan, I’d definitely recommend Artisan du Chocolat. You will be able to satisfy your deepest chocolate desires, and take a bit home for later.

The black cardamom and sechuan pepper chocolate pieces I had were good, but I would have preferred a stronger taste of cardamom and sechuan pepper.
The white minimalist décor is nice but a little clinical. Worth a visit for the matcha white hot chocolate though — absolutely delicious!

Went for the Liquid Caramel tasting, and particularly loved the balsamic vinegar one. Also, recommend you try the salted caramel icecream!

Just tried their salted caramel ice cream, really good and different from any other flavour that I’ve tasted before. At £2.00 a generous scoop, in a very nice waffle cone, it was absolutely worth it. The shop is very stylish and tempting, but I didn’t try the chocolates.

This is a very nicely designed chocolaterie (if such a word exceeds) with an amazing dome-​shaped lamp shade which absolutely dominates the place. One of the effects of the lamp shade was such that you could hear what anyone on the other side of the room was saying, or, in my case, the guy on the other side could always hear me laughing!
There’s also a TV screen available where you can see footage from the shop’s production process.
The chocolate is hand-​made on the premises by people who are absolutely passionate about what they do, and it shows. There’re quite a few different flavoured bars available, including green tea and an unexpectedly delicious tobacco-​dark chocolate combination. One of the more unusual combinations was that of chocolate-​covered wasabi peas. I’m not sure if that worked, but, hey, it’s something everyone should try at least once. The packaging is also very pretty, befitting that of a premium chocolate.
This is the only branch of L’Artisan du Chocolat where you can get their chocolate cocktails. I didn’t get the chance to sample some the time I went, but I did get to try some delicious cocoa pulp sorbet and Iscream soft salted caramel gelato.
Essentially, there’s something here for every kind of chocolate lover, and it was well-​worth my making the ‘trek’ from East London!

3.5 Stars. I love that they give you free samples, I love the small tables in the store that look like chocolate bars, and I love the snap of the couverture of the truffles. Overall, though, I found most of the truffles a little too sweet, and the ganache sometimes had a grainy feel. The hot chocolate was thick, but didn’t really have the true chocolate flavor I love. The dark chocolate truffle and mint truffle were winners; other truffles and caramels were intriguing but not fabulous. On the whole, not bad but not outstanding.

Beautiful chocolates, informative staff… and given the quality — reasonable prices! I attended a chocolate tasting here last night and was treated to a delectable array of exquisite chocolates, from the more standard flavours to the more exotic end of the spectrum… salted chocolate caramels with lemongrass?! (actually quite delicious!). My recommended must try: the mint chocolate — this is no After Eight people! A great burst of fresh mint leaves in a delectable chocolate setting. Some other interesting ones to try… the Matcha White Chocolate and the Tobacco flavored chocolate. The only chocolatier in the UK that controls the entire chocolate making process ie. no importing pre-​ground and melted cocoa beans. Gorgeous looking, and gorgeous tasting. A menu of alcoholic and non-​alcoholic drinks are also on offer, as well as a few flavours of ice cream. Definitely a potential date destination!

Fabulous chocolate and gifts available at this shop, all chocolate is made on the premises and a must visit for chocoholics. Chocolate tasting is amazing and the chocolatiers are so knowledgeable, please note that you will have to book the tasting sessions or go with an organised group. A visit to Artisan du Chocolat or a gift from here will more than likely reprieve you from your misdemenour. This shop truly worships chocolate and offers it in so many forms for your enjoyment.
There is the ice cream in the shop window. On one side are the truffles, flavoured salted caramels and many other whimsical creations like their pearls and mini thins packed with fruit flavours. They use some classical combinations but also play with other unusual flavours not usually associated with chocolate like rose.
On the side you’ll find their bars, lollipops, sauces and drinking chocolate.
There is a bar serving their chocolate drinks.
Oh and the best thing? Free samples are available to try and I can confirm smooth unctuous chocolates.
The only downside is the price — they will cause a sharp intake of breath but if you’re in trouble, guys, these chocolates will guarantee an emergence from the doghouse!
