Was recently asked to leave the store for taking pictures of rotten food. Complained on 24 occasions about frozen food not being frozen in freezers where it got frozen and defrosted again and again, some fish and seafood. On one occasion I was told to mind my own business as I reported it and saw the staff placing back into the freezer thawed items removed as soon as I had turned my back and they thought I had left. I slipped over some food on the floor some time back and fell hurting myself badly and Asda is denying responsibility though I have since taken hundreds of pictures to prove the store does not care much about health, hygiene and customer care and safety within their premises. The store floor is often littered with all sorts of rubbish and stock items at times to an unacceptable amount. It is a shame that they do not care about customer service or doing their best for maintaining the store to high standards of hygiene, health and safety or even to normal standards. I am still waiting for a refund on some rotten cat food returned with the receipt about one year ago. Two boxes of sachets some of which exploded. They agreed I should have got a refund but no refund has turned up yet… When you return faulty items you are made to feel guilty and never receive an apology. Recently they had about 40 bottles of organic milk on the shelf four days passed the use by date. As I am no longer allowed to take pictures of the problems I asked two customers to witness the out of date milk and took their contact details. One left his basket on the floor announcing he would rather shop elsewhere as he could no longer trust Asda for the food to be fit for consumption. I damaged my car in their car park as there was a metal bracket hanging down from the ceiling. They said the car park did not belong to them but to the council which is not true. They ended up admitting lying to prevent dealing with claims. They never apologised or paid for the damage to my car. And I could carry on and on and on with negative comments about this store who could not care less about their customers. They ask me why I go to their store if I am not happy. Most of their food and prices are fine but unfortunately in store health and safety, food hygiene and customer care are far from acceptable. Many of my pictures proving this will be sent to the press if they do not accept responsibility for my fall in their N14 store to show the public how little they care about the safety of their customers. A week ago for instance there was a broken glass jar of fat on the floor. Staff walk by the items on the floor and spillages and ignore them. As far as Asda is concerned, if you are not happy go somewhere else.

If you want an accurate view of a cross section of culture and society in London today, visit this supermarket! People with all budgets, ex-pats and immigrants from all over the globe do their regular weekly shop in here so it’s a great place to pick up cheap international foods though the range of George clothes they have never seem as good as other Asda stores, like they are always a season behind.

As we only lived near a tesco express before and shopped mainly in M&S on the way home the cheapness of Asda is almost overwhelming but I also feel that at these prices I must be exploiting someone, somewhere. For now I’m a fan but I reserve the right to change my mind!
