Pasta was very good, cooked perfectly, and the house red wine was tasty. Nice décor and is large so I imagine they have seating available most of the time.

This was one of my most disappointing pizza experiences. When you enter in an Italian, you expect to get some pretty decent pizza and that wasn’t at all what came to our table. Our Calzone was half-baked, some ingredients were missing and the mozzarella wasn’t warm and grilled like it is supposed to. After a slice and a half, we stopped eating and ordered the bill, which we also had to wait a while for. Maybe their strong part is on other meals on the menu, but they really should work on their pizza preparing. I expected so much more from this place.

Nice Restaurant, good service, good menu., reasonable prices. I have eaten here a few time when visiting friends who live in the area. I like the restaurant but I find the food here is rather bland. Otherwise, would have given the restaurant 4 Stars.

After learning this place was a chain, I’d liken the food to Americans as an Olive Garden of England. The interior was similar to that of Olive Garden but it seemed more upscale to me. The atmosphere is classy but social as well. I ordered the calzone con carne piccante without beef. The family I was with ordered green olives and garlic bread as sides. The garlic bread was fantastic and it’s basically pita bread with garlic and cilantro garnish. The calzone was really large and good amount for dinner. Overall, it seems like a good place to grab Italian if you want a more distinguished feel and trendy food.

The place is big and nicely decorated. The food was only ok because unfortunately our two entrees were a little bland, almost as if the chef didn’t use salt or pepper. We had Pollo Milanese and Risotto. The risotto had some flavor(white wine) but other than that it tasted like it was missing flavor. It is a nice establishment, maybe we were unlucky and our two entrees were a miss but we still give it four stars because our three children were treated well and their food was good. They were served three courses, guess this is standard for any kid who eats there, carrots & cucumber with sliced garlic pita with a dipping sauce as an app, pizza as the entrée, and ice cream for dessert. Who wouldn’t like that? Overall we would visit again to give it another chance. It’s too nice of a place to put out food like we experienced.

Went to ASK one night as it was within walking distance of our hotel and Paddington Station at around 6pm on a Wednesday evening. We were seated right away at a table of our choosing and decided to order two pizzas(prosciutto and regular margarita). Both were delicious and served promptly. The ambiance was open and airy, with lots of rooms for families. If you are familiar with Zizi, the menu’s are very similar. I would probably visit Zizi over ASK, but again they were very similar and I thought almost interchangeable — you’re in for a fresh italian meal at either!

Ok food even though my salad looked like it past it’s due date. Otherwise the service was good.

I happily ate dinner at Ask in London and was perfectly pleased. The bread was delicious, wine was happily poured and my pizza was tasty. Was it the best pizza I’ve ever had — no — but it was filling and pleasing. I had a great time and was happy after having had a looong day of travel and work meetings. Definitely a great spot to visit and have a nice, relaxing, casual meal.

After a long overseas flight and checking into our accommodations, my little family and I were starving and ASK looked like a wonderful restaurant to have dinner. The outdoor seating area was full and very chic; the inside had very lovely décor and colors… we were seated by a friendly host and that’s where it started to go downhill… The waiter was a little slow in getting to us. During that time, I noticed how LOUD it was in the restaurant and not because it was full, but because of the high ceilings. I noted the other staff milling around and it seemed like the cooks in the open kitchen were busy enough but I didn’t really see food going out. When our waiter finally did come to take our order, he apologized for not coming sooner(good) and took our order quickly and efficiently. The entrees my husband and I had were good, but not stunning. The kid’s menu for 6.50GBP had a starter, entrée and dessert… all well and good, but her entrée didn’t come until well after my husband and I had ours. I asked our host(who served our food… I guess our waiter was on a break… I could see him in the back corner) when her pizza was coming, implying that we wanted it now and his reply was, «Yes. Of course, it will come after the salad.» 2nd waitress came by later after we finished our meal and I inquired again. She offered a free coffee because the pizza wasn’t ready…(huh, even after I told the host?). When we finally got it, we took it as takeaway. When we got it home, we found it was burnt. Nice touch. I think I agree with carrielynn k. I’ve had better food at Pizza Hut. Sorry, Ask.

Can’t say that service is stellar even if you ASK … i like the flatbread long(rectangular) pizzas. Tasty, and well baked with a thin crust and sufficent amount of flavour on top. It’s nice to have it around the corner from where I live, so will probably prove very helpful in take-away. The place is very airy and clean, but doesn’t evoke an intimate atmosphere. So good for groups and families with children. might go for brunch one of these rainy days… this review WILL be subject to another rating if eggs benedict are on their menu… signed… the girl with a craving! P. s. they’ve got fresh OJ, and milkshakes(which i DONOT recommend… at all)

Pleasant enough branch, although the service was a little slow and I was late back from my lunch hour!

we ordered meatballs and pasta, you can’t go wrong with that, right?! Wrong!!! The meatballs were nothing more than shriveled balls of overcooked hamburger and the pasta was very boring. My partner got a cal zone, I think we have had better food at pizza hut!

Went here on a recent trip to London for my 21st. I had a voucher I’d printed that got us 2 for 1 mains. The restaurant was nicely decorated, although tables were quite close together in my opinion. We shared a starter of garlic mushrooms which were really nice, they had a lot of flavour to them and we also had some olives. After that I had a 4 cheese pizza which I loved and my boyfriend had a goats cheese calzone which was also very nice. Only problem after that was that there didn’t seem to be many staff around as it took ages to get the bill. However I’d recommend it and would go back again, wish there was one in Edinburgh!

A large and airy branch of the ubiquitous pizza and pasta chain, a few minutes’ walk from Paddington station. It’s slightly set back from the street, so you can’t see it until you’re nearly on top of it — it’s at the end of Spring Street furthest from the station, on the left hand side. The food is reliable and not bad value for money, although it is a little formulaic. Service is pleasant enough, if not that quick at lunchtimes, when it can get quite busy. It’s good for a quick business lunch, but not really intimate enough for anything romantic. Expect to pay around £15-£20 a head for a main course, wine and coffee.

Ask is a chain of well executed pasta restaurants. This Ask restaurant was close to Paddington, with efficient and friendly service. It was exactly what I was looking for after traveling all day.

This is a very large, and rather average restaurant. It’s just a stone’s throw away from Paddington station which is positive and also from Hyde Park. However, it lacks character and I personally find that the menu and the cooking lacks inspiration. Unless using a discount voucher, I would rather go to one of the smaller, individual restaurants in the area. Fine for pizza or pasta or salad but just be aware that there’s lots of choice in the area and this doesnt necessarily offer you something unique or different.
