This popular Mayfair venue, situated just round the corner from the Ritz starts as a restaurant and as the night progresses, changes into a night club. I used to go only because on Wednesday nights they did ladies nights, which meant that women could go in for free. Otherwise it has an extortionate cover charge of 20 pounds and drinks don’t come cheap either(though have to say, their cocktails are made very well). The inside is filled with rich coloured, plush seating and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The bar is made out of dark mahogany, and on the wall behind it, old classic movies are projected. However, just like many West End clubs, they pride themselves too much on being ‘exclusive’ where image and all that superficial hoo ha is just taken far too seriously for my liking.
