B & Q

Not a very large B&Q, with a limited range of stock. The staff aren’t very helpful either, and on my visit were unwilling to come and show me where the product I was looking for was, and simply told me to go to the isle where they thought it should be.
Unless this is your closest store, go to B&Q in North Greenwich instead.

This is my nearest B&Q, in fact this is my nearest largest DIY store. Their customer service is variable. Sometimes when you ask certain members of staff a question, they are a bit slow and even reluctant to respond! You get the impression that some staff members are really not that interested in their customers or their jobs. I needed to buy a certain ladder and I found out on their website that it was in stock so I went down there only to find that they did have the ladders on display, but they were all severely dented that they were not worthy of selling, even at a discount! That was a real waste of my time. On the other hand, there was another occasion when I just came to B&Q to browse and saw some paint on clearance (a rare thing indeed). I knew just had to buy the paint, but I was 13p short of cash to buy it. The staff lady at the check out paid 13p of her own money to help me buy it! I will pay her back next time I see her. I commend her for that and that is the reason why I am giving it four stars.
