Food is fresh and delicious. Staff is extremely nice here and professional(hygienic, courteous, etc.). Best guac, too!

First of all I would call this more Tex-Mex American styled food from South of the Boarder, than real Mexican food. Granted, its a Burrito joint, king of Tex-Mex so that is a give away, yet I got confused with references to Mexico scattered about the place. Even with the Tex-Mex cuisine pretty much established though, there is no excuse for serving tacos from crispy shells. Thankfully there is the option of soft tacos, but its just plain wrong to even offer crispy shell tortillas in an eatery, even a take away. And if all that wasn’t enough they put 2 kinds of meat in the tacos. Pick one: Chicken, beef, or pork, not a meat combo. Tacos are simple and the fastest of fast food. Some cooked meat, guacamole, salsa, cheese… Really hard to mess that up, yet they have, probably in an attempt to try and be inventive. While BarBurrito wasn’t bad or terrible, and you do get a large portion for your money, it lacks the true flavours of Mexico.

The worst tex Mexican in walking distance unfortunately. Grumpy staff(think Seinfeld’s ‘soup nazi’) and meagre serving of meat in your meal. Benito’s Hat round the corner isn’t great, but better. Chilango’s is worth a longer walk. I’d also try Daddy Donkeys or the Whitecross market stall before resorting to this. Food isn’t bad, but better options nearby.

Nothing too fabulous– several rungs up the ladder from others in the chain(e.g the Paddington outlet), with fresher ingredients and efficient staff. Rammed to the gunnels at lunchtime in the working week. Doesn’t really offer anything that other burrito chains don’t(same same burrito/taco/salad/fillings) — one difference I would note, however, is that their burritos are distinctly underweight compared to, say, Poncho 8, and there is no whole wheat option for the burrito.

If you don’t like spicy salsa or onion be prepared to get a half full burrito, wrapped loosely. And 75p extra for what seemed like a teaspoon of guacamole. I wish there was a Chipotle nearby, it’s so much better.

Recently opened new outlet of Bar Burrito — decent concept, a carbon copy from California, but its fresh and well made. You are paying £6.50 for a burrito when you can get just as good from Exmouth Market or Burrito Brothers around the corner for a £5er. i suppose the £1.50(£2.25 with avocado) pays for their swanky bar/diner area — which is pretty nice. They should sell beers and tequila. Not sure I’d go back.
