I like Bar Social on Lavender Hill in spite of my infrequent visits over the years. The bar is always quiet by Clapham Junction standards and it doesn’t take too long to get served despite them doing a range of cocktails. The upstairs has seating and very low ceilings, someone taller than my modest frame would need to stoop but there are comfortable benches to sit on by the entrance. This is the sort of place to grab a few drinks early in the night before heading on somewhere else.

The thing I liked most about Bar Social was the upstairs kinda like a treehouse, cramped (cosy) seating area. Yeah, I know I have weird taste in venues.
The drinks were a good strength, and my mate whose bday was had booked the aforementioned area.
I think some kinda table service would have been really helpful as for reasons I cannot imagine, as the night got on, traversing the stairs became increasingly difficult.
The other thing is, for some reason, Bar Social was a little empty for a Saturday night in Clapham, which I was surprised about but relatively unaffected by.
A-​ok venue, I would say good warm up bar before heading off to somewhere more lively/​busy.

What a fun little place i just discovered! I was invites to a private party and that is how i discovered this gem. The bar is Very nicely decorated and the atmosphere was just fantastic. The service was great as well and the people who work there were very friendly. They offer a very unique selection of cocktails and a large selection of beers from all over the world. Would definitely revisit when in the area.
