Microwaved supermarket Scotch pancakes do not an American diner make. Yet that is precisely what awaits at wannabe American food joint the Battersea Grill. Whilst there I ordered a further two pancakes to supplement the four I was handed originally, and less than a minute later I had them. Disappointing. To be fair this place does serve plenty of other dishes — fried breakfasts, burgers etc — which I haven’t tried, meaning the Battersea Grill may have redeeming features. But based on my experience of their pancakes, I can’t say that returning is a priority of mine.

Cute café to eat lunch at! I had the thai chickem burger (pretty good) could have done with a bit more spice though… the fries were great!
my milkshake was tasty but i don’t believe a milkshake is a milkshake unless its ice cream standing up in a big glass… so coulda been a bit thicker! but pretty cheap and nice waitresses too!

Sure I may not look American but I do know what American food tastes like as I grew up there. The portions were comparatively small and it wasn’t anything special. Don’t get me wrong, the food is okay but the last time I went the mushrooms were undercooked. I’ve been there twice now and will probably go next door to the Draft House for breakfast next time.

Best American breakfasts in South London, for some reason it is very difficult to get hash browns in this country. Have always found it quite easy to get a table. Only downside is it can get stuffy in there in winter, but maybe that’s because I’m often hungover and dizzy when I go anyway.

Such an absolute treat! This is one of my favourite breakfast spots There are a wide variety of breakfasts available to choose from depending on what you feel like eating that particular morning There are the healthier alternatives plus true Canadian or American style syrup and clotted cream specialities! Coffee is generally included in the breakfast offers too– which is great considering the good value for money!
Another plus is the diner-​style atmosphere, which always makes me want to go back for more!
I would definitely recommend the Battersea Grill most especially when it comes to breakfasts
