Was looking for a bar and saw this place ranked #1 on Unilocal around Covent Garden. So we decided to check it out. Arrived here at 6.30pm, was greeted by a friendly security that thought I looked too young to be drinking(dawwww) and what’s best, we made it in for happy hour. 1FOR1FTW! Pina Colada was delicious However we spent about 20minutes ordering and waiting for our drinks(guess last orders were approaching) and there were people ordering 10 glasses of everything. Impressed by the bar tender’s memory though, he remembered everyone’s drinks and faces The seating arrangements: High couches, mainly suitable for groups of anything larger than 4. I didn’t realize they accept reservations, so some of the couch with tables were unavailable. They also have high round tables and stools, pillars with shelf tables you could share with other people and if you’re lucky

I will admit, it wasn’t what I was expecting when I got there. Heading for some birthday drinks I thought it’d be a place where we’d have a drink, a chat and enjoy the atmosphere before the music started. When I got there(having gone to another Be At One due to Facebook directing me to the wrong place) I needed to show my ID to the bouncer who took a picture of it, not uncommon in London but already twigged me to the fact that this wasn’t what I was expecting. Heading down the stairs I entered a Friday night drinking session in full swing. The lights were low, the music was loud and the place was packed! But readjusting my expectations I found my party and embraced the fun. Having not seen some people for a while it was good to catch up although this meant yelling at each other for most of the night. The bar was busy but quick moving despite the number of cocktails being ordered and there was a manager whose purpose(apart from having fun) seemed to be keeping track of people so they didn’t have to wait too long. Music was a good mix of hits that everyone could enjoy and definitely kept us moving. And once we started dancing, the night just seemed to pass by too quickly. Left happy, drunk and maybe a little lighter in the wallet than I would have wanted but it was a good night and sometimes that’s the price you pay!

I love Be @ One — all of them but especially the one on Russell Street! I always end up going in Happy Hour when I’m in the area, whether it be with my friends or on date night. My favourites are the Blueberry Muffin and a Passionfruit Margarita. However during Happy Hour all of the cocktails in the extensive menu are Buy One Get One Free so for two cocktails, you’re never spending more than £10! Bargain if you ask me! The reason why I like Russell Street so much is the atmosphere. During the week it is quiet however they always have awesome music and the staff are always cheerful and polite, recommending cocktails to try. On a Friday and Saturday night it is buzzing! And even though there are long queues at the bar, you always get served fairly quickly. I would recommend going to Be at One in their Happy Hour and if you’re in the Covent Garden area and fancy a cocktail or two!

No queue on the door at 10:30 pm on Friday 04Mar2016, £5 cover charge, great dance music. Crowd is young and drunk, staff are friendly, drinks are a bit pricy, so hit up happy hour somewhere before you arrive. Floor is always a mess though, as the staff don’t clean up spilled drinks. If Friday night mayhem is your thing, well then, I will meet you in the dance floor.

This«Be At One» location opens a bit later(why do most bars in London close at 11pm???) than others because unexpectedly, it also doubles as a club that plays 80s, 90s, and current Pop. It was kind of strange but cool at the same time to relive our youth… but maybe that is another way of saying that we’re getting f’in old. Anyways, the vibe here was good and the age range was around 23 – 29, so it wasn’t too bad for us old folks. As for the cocktails, they have a massive menu. The drinks were a bit weak, but weren’t bad at all. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I guess it was pretty fun to people watch because everyone was getting crazy hammered and doing some weird sh*t on the dance floor. No entrance fee was a plus.

You certainly feel like a kid in a candy store at this Be At One — especially with the array of colourful, potent cocktails coupled with the flashing lights in the ceiling. You really are spoilt for choice at Be At One(over 200 cocktails) and with expert mixologists you’re in good hands. The cocktails are amazing, but as I said earlier, they are potent(even the ice cream cocktails). If a delicious cocktail isn’t enough to tantalise your tastebuds, then the buzzing atmosphere certainly will be — really good tunes, a dance floor later in the evening and not to forget the flashing ceiling lights. As well as that, the bar staff are brilliant and really friendly. They have a great happy hour(2 for 1 of the same cocktail till 7pm on most nights and if you download the app, you get an extended«appi» hour — wonderful). If you haven’t tried a Be At One cocktail, get on it! Have an Irish Disco Biscuit(or two).

As far as Be At One goes, this is one of my faves. The stairs to get down to the bar are quite steep so be wary of that when heading down there… or up on your way out. You can book tables for functions and the drinks list is great. They even have a huge number of non alcoholic cocktails which is awesome. The music gets pumping later in the night and there is plenty of room for a dance. The staff are friendly and helpful too.
