I heart Beatrix Ong. Her shoes are gorgeous, and I particularly fell hard for this season’s collection — a great mix of edgy, quirky and sophisticated looks. And the shoes, even the 4-​inch+, are comfortable (really!).
Anyway, about the boutique… it’s located in the grand old Burlington Arcade in lux Mayfair, but don’t be intimidated — the boutique is quite cool, with a great sparkly chandelier, and the staff is über-​friendly. All of Ong’s shoes are there (including a new range of men’s shoes), as well as her line of handbags.
She also does shoes for brides (brides-​to-​be can get the special fussed-​over treatment upstairs with tea and stuff) and amazingly, will make any shoe to order in any of their fabrics or even your own fabric… AND you can even have the soles personalised (i.e. «this was expensive»).
