The concept is very interesting and seems to be appreciated by the public. We walked in without reservation and could easily be seated. The show is good if you like this type of music and the food, albeit chosen from a stable menu, is delicious. Food comes on the table at light speed which usually means it has been prepared in advance. I felt a bit sad to see good artists become good waiters at the drop of a hat. At least they deal with a polite audience which stops munching while staff is singing. All in all a mixed bag of feelings. All of this comes of course with an expensive price tag.

Wonderful opera restaurant. Found the best dessert there and enjoyed the show a lot. Got 20 pounds discounts for being a member of the Gourmet Society. A place worth a try

I just had the best evening. This place is absolutely amazing. The opera singing is spectacular. I never thought that I would enjoy opera singing so much. The concept of this restaurant is brilliant. Professional opera singers serving your food and entertaining you. The food was devine and the service deserves 5 stars, too. Our waiter was so friendly and extemely professional. The atmosphere is really nice. We were celebrating a birthday tonight and they made it extra special. It was an experience I will never forget. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. It is perfect for a very special evening and it is something dofferent that you dont see every day.

Wanted a different experience while in London and I was extremely pleased with this choice. Located in a nice boutique hotel called The Coros Hotel across from the street from Lancaster Gate, a lush park. The space is elegant and the service was excellent. The theme is a prefixe meal with live Opera performed by the talented wait staff. I recommend the seafood soup, the foie g, the sea bream and the fondant cake. Delicious… Great Performer, Incredible Performance. Tons of fun!

Singing for your supper… Not quite, but this place is a delightful musical gem. Booked a table for dinner with friends here and the hostess was friendly and efficient. The food was great and there are two menus to choose from 2 or 3 courses… I opted for the 2 courses as I never eat that much. The venue is spacious and looks like you’re in a theatre awaiting the curtains to rise and the performers to take stage. The wait staff provides the operatic entertainment for the evening in the form of several well-known operas. All of them are vocally trained student singers and really belted out the tunes(in between servings). During the non-performance times, they’re of course serving your food and drink but also chatting with the customers and this was quite welcomed as we got to hear about their musical background and passion for singing & performing. The final performance is a group affair and the singers serve a complimentary glass of champagne to all the diners and you’re encouraged to sing along… yes, you WILL want to do it if you go there. We had a wonderful night here and I’ll certainly return.

this place was a lot of fun! we’ve walked by it a gazillion times but were a bit intimidated by the dressy window operatic theme. glad we finally gave it a try. the crew are all opera students with a good sense of humor. it’s a bit of light entertainment with a variety of opera during the meal. we’ll definitely return.

If you like Opera, and good food, this is a winner of a night out. I nearly fall asleep in full operas, but this is the just the best songs from the well known Operas, along with a little improv thrown in for good measure. To be sitting around while trained opera singers act between the tables every 20 mins is so much fun. They fully interact with their audience and then serve you your dinner afterwards. They’re all really friendly & talkative. Also nice to be in the middle of eh ‘stage’ with singing coming form all directions, rather than just ahead of you. Both guests and singers seem to enjoy the experience equally. Good costumes on display also. Food is high quality french cuisine, all top quality ingredients cooked extremely well. Dress up, and expect to ay £75 head, but it’s more than worth it IMO. 2 mins walk from the tube.

What a brave and brilliant concept! Bel Canto combines opera and food into an evening of fine dining and entertainment, which is unique in my experience. The location is a little hard to find — a basement in a city location between Monument and Tower Hill Tube stations. The dining room is decked out in an attempt to make it feel operatic with red velvet curtains, ornate flower arrangements and a piano in the middle of the room. The menu is French influenced bistro food. The standard 3 course ‘Lyric’ menu costs £55 per head with a choice of 5 dishes for each course. Whenever 2 disparate worlds are blended together, there’s often a little dilution of the quality of each element. So it proves here with the food. Pleasantly competent rather than spectacular and memorable. My starter of shallots tatin with sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese was nice but cried out for a bit more oomph, My roast duck was slightly over and thus a little tough. The chocolate fondant was gooey and chocolatey, accompanied with salted caramel ice cream. However, the opera side of things was entertaining and more successful. Every 15 – 20 minutes, we would get a rendition of an opera classic from our wait staff. I was surprised with the sound they were able to achieve in that room. A fun evening. I would return just for the fruit but as an evening’s entertainment with food, it works out cheaper than a night at the Royal Opera House!
