This was our first hotel in London and our first hotel as part of a 4-hotel stop in London/Paris over 11 days. We were exhausted after an overnight flight to London from Virginia and arrived at around 8am. Naturally our hotel room wasn’t ready since it was so early in the day which was pretty much expected. The staff told me where there bathrooms were so that we could freshen up and change after our flight. So we used the bathroom to change clothes, brush our teeth, splash some water on our faces and prepare for a long day of exploring London without any sleep… Since we had nowhere to leave our bags we let the fellas working up front check them — but unfortunately we weren’t operating at our fullest mental capacity and kept forgetting things we needed so we had to have them pull them back out for us about 3 – 4 times. They had to be annoyed but they never showed it and remained friendly and accommodating. Our room was pretty nice and large — we had a smaller separate sitting area with a small couch and desk and the bedroom and bathroom were in another room with a door. It was pretty loud — you could hear every noise from the street at night and you could hear every fancy car that drove past early in the morning. I had to sleep with ear plugs in. The hotel is beautiful — very elegantly decorated. Everything is nice — the outside, curb appeal, the lobby, the gym and bathrooms. I was impressed. The included breakfast was pretty good in the lovely on-site restaurant Pont St. The staff were so friendly and asked us about our day and suggested things to see after we were sat and eating. The buffet has many options of delicious pastries and homemade jams and butter. Mmmmm! As well as cereal, yogurt, cheeses, and other items. But you can also order made to order items from their menu such as waffles, pancakes, lattes, etc. The staff were all friendly and accommodating — they wanted to help and had great attitudes. As I mentioned — the fellas opening the doors and handling the bags were great, the staff at the front desk were excellent both during check-in and check-out, the concierge was friendly and helpful when asking about sightseeing tours our first day and nearby food options on our second night in London. Lastly, the staff at the on-site restaurant, as mentioned above, were fantastic. Super friendly and engaging. It was a pleasure. We enjoyed the location, in the Embassy District, and felt safe walking around. We were informed that this was a very rich part of town with both old and new money. We saw tons of Lambos and Ferraris parked on the street. I’ve never seen so many in my life. It’s very close to Hyde Park and within walking distance to Buckingham Palace and tons of boutique shops and places to eat. Not to mention the entire Balgravia neighborhood is beautiful. Clean and well-kept streets, buildings, flowers, everything. Loved it!

stayed here on business. very well located reasonable hotel. Pros — amazing location — fantastic staff — rooms are nice — well priced Cons — gym is weak — breakfast is just OK — bar is just OK I would put this in the great value for money category. if you aren’t getting a competitive rate, then I would check out a different spot. I am not familiar with London so perhaps my expectations are too high.

My cousin and I visited on holiday for our birthdays and from start to finish we had a truly wonderful experience. The rooms are a decent size and very clean, the whole property is in mint condition. I can’t say enough to compliment every single staff member, everyone was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable… a rarity in travel these days. We will absolutely be back and are looking forward to another memorable experience!

Superb hotel, very comfortable and stylish. The rooms are not huge, but the belgraves is a great example of how a small space can be very well executed. Love the deluge shower and range of toiletries are superb. Bar is also very good, good cocktail selection and bar staff who know their trade. Very professional, aware of everything going on around them and looking after their customers.

In London it’s understandable that you pay for quality, but at the bar of Belgraves it was such a ripoff. Don’t get me wrong, It is a very nice and premium bar with a DJ playing great house music, but the drinks weren’t very good. I first tried a chocolate cocktail and I couldn’t even taste any chocolate. So instead I got a house red wine and it was so awful I could barely finish it. I gave the bar one more shot by ordering a strawberry cocktail, which was a bit better than the first one but it was way too sweet it tasted fake. For 15 – 20 pounds a drink, not including the hefty service charge on top, I really expected a lot more from this place. Instead, I left completely disappointed and wished we went to a pub instead.

I want to preface this by saying that we received an e-mail saying that this hotel was suitable for families. We arrived and they had trouble checking us in but the staff was very good and we were given free drinks. Once we got to our room however, we realized that it was not family friendly. The first thing that we noticed was that it was two single beds, even though the e-mail said that it would be two queens. Next was probably the worst thing about the room and that was the shower. It was a two sided glass door. This meant that anyone lying in the beds or sitting on the couch could see the person in the shower. We eventually figured out that if all the lights were off in the bathroom and hallway all people could see was an outline. That was still less than ideal for a family. We also noticed that we had a message on the phone. We however couldn’t hear because the phone did not work for the first day. We tried to avoid spending time in the hotel for the next couple days since we found the hotel unsatisfying. On the final night when we were trying get a good sleep for out six am train ride the emergency alarm went off. We all quickly got dressed and headed out into the hall and we were greeted by our fellow confused guests. We made our way to the stairs and halfway down we were turned back by other guests claiming it was a mistake.

The newly redone hotel features sleek, masculine rooms in neutrals and rich chocolates. For the big spender go for the corner room on the 8th floor and enjoy an amazing view, including the Eye. Mark Hix will have his newest restaurant on site, so the food will be yummy too!
