Initially, I was drawn into this store because they had a very funny santa claus climbing up and down a ladder, I was staring at it forever, or at least long enough for the gentleman inside to wave at me and ask me to come inside… It is a long step down memory lane, a very nice feeling that I hadn’t experienced(I am not a 50 year old English man after all) but I can see why tradition is the unique selling point of this family run business. You will not find shoes or clothes that read ‘made in China’, it would almost be an insult, everything is made in England, and getting a nice Christmas present for my dad is now not a pickle! Try something new and get you male friend or partner a pair of Pantherella socks, great colours, patterns and a bit crazy!

A very traditional tailors and outfitters supplying menswear and children’s school wear. Founded in 1898 Colin Edmonds a relation of the founder is still associated with the business and offers a truly unique and professional service. Now this place isn’t going to be for everyone but I think that every town should have one. Go there and be measure up for your news shirt and suit, purchase your shoes and match it all with a tie. Coupled with this you can go and get the kids kitted out for that private school they are going to, knowing that it all fits perfectly and they will look smart. Traditional in every sense of the word, a trip back in time but some great products and a wonderful service. Typically city gent or West end worker who wants to look smart and look the part.
