Liked the interior, came here for drinks and small snack. Hummus with bread was very tasty and fresh! The guy serving ys was quite stressed… :/

Bill’s is a cute little place near Covent Garden Market, although it’s still far enough away that you can actually see its doors through the foot traffic you’re bound to find near a popular market. I more or less stumbled in here with a travel buddy after exploring the area and determining this was one of the only places without a major wait for a table. I’m glad we stumbled in here, though! I remember that the interior of this restaurant was clean and, well, homey. Wooden tables, wooden dividers, white wood wall and window decorations… the décor was clearly meant to make you think of an old charming home complete with well-kept white shutters, where someone makes all the food fresh on a stove. It made for a super cozy environment. But, enough about that. The food itself is what ultimately matters. In this case, I left with one word on my mind: Yum! I ordered mac and cheese with asparagus, while my travel buddy went for fish pie, and she found her food to be well prepared and delightful. Loved the fresh fish, loved the fresh mashed potatoes — no complaints whatsoever from her. My mac and cheese was, for lack of a better word, different. It wasn’t nearly as rich as what I’m used to eating, and the dish came with some extra crunch thanks to the vegetables and the crusty toppings. But it was undeniably tasty, too! Different, but enjoyably so. I will definitely keep Bill’s in mind the next time I visit London and Covent Garden — with their great menu and great atmosphere, they were the perfect place to rest and refresh during a busy day in the city.

I heard better than what I actually got to eat, all in all an ok burger but I’ve had better and doubt I’ll come back in a hurry, it’s a shame because Bill’s is a great looking place but just not for me.

Really cool place, not as touristy as the pubs down the street. Very pleasant service. I only had desert but friends enjoyed their soups and burgers. Home made beers were good too. Nice place.

A quick drink before seeing a show. Had a peach bellini which wasn’t cheap, but wasn’t the best quality. We wanted to have our drinks standing outside like others were(plus there were no free tables) and they had to bring the drinks to us while we awkwardly hovered at the door as they were only doing«table service». Weird…

Love Bill’s. Never disappointed with the service, food or hot chocolate. I took my mum there for brunch and it was the first time she had been. I’ve never seen anyone ‘check in’ somewhere so quickly just so she could a) remember the name of the place and b) talk to other people about it. Although we went for brunch, my mum fancied scones which were on the menu but we were 30 minutes too early for them to be served. The waitress kindly had a word with the chef and scones were served, freshly made and hot out of the oven sprinkled with Bill’s I’m sure. The only bad thing I’d say is that there are too many Bill’s — don’t become too big a chain. I love you Bill’s but it’s because you’re quirky, there’s a few of you around for ease and have delicious food but don’t get greedy!

Me and a friend came in here for dinner before we went to a comedy show nearby. Luckily they had a table as they were busy due to lots of people coming in before the theater. We both love Bills so it was an easy choice of eatery! Although there were so many delicious things in the menu, I went for the mac n cheese because you can’t go wrong with that! My friend got the green curry which he said he found very spicy. We were sat on a table which was set on the side of a walkway behind some railing with 3 other tables. It wasn’t the best seating as the waiters had to pass us menus and take our order through the railing. Luckily they did actually come over to our table with our food rather than passing that through the railing too! However in all fairness, we were in quite a rush so didn’t particularly mind the seating. The service was good and the food was tasty. Nkcw atmosphere inside too, which there always seems to be in Bills. However, my recommendation would be to book if you’re planning to come here.

Bill’s is actually a chain but you would never have guessed it from my experience. The entrance area looks very much like a small café and very homely looking with lots of great own label jams, chutneys, sweets and alcohol on display that you can buy individually or put together to make your own hamper as a gift but the restaurant itself is tucked away behind this area and is actually quite spacious. Everything that our group of 11 tried looked amazing and there were no complaints except for the fact that our lunch had to end and having to traipse back to the office!

I have been only once to this Bills, i have to admit I hahe mixed feelings. The staff was very openly unfriendly when I came in asking for a table(without reservation). I had pumpkin mac and cheese which was very tasty. The price was reasonable but the service made me decide not to come back. Too bad.

Located next to The Lion King, this pub is one of the best I have encountered in retaining British-ness & Pubery while being sophisticated but not snobby. Phenomenal«Eton Mess»(a meringue/whipped cream/fresh strawberries concoction) and spectacular fresh, unadulterated Cloudy Apple Juice. Certainly worth going to when not in the area, but a can’t miss when taking in a show. Includes a full menu and chef’s specials, but also outside counters for a bevey while waiting for a show. To top it off, prices are average and the staff is not; they are the perfect combination of happy but not absurd, and quick-witted but not arrogant. Truly a must do. My new haunt for Leicester and Coventry.

I came here with my other half for dinner & it was ok. The best way of describing it is that it appeals to the ‘yummy mummy’ brigade with their pushchairs etc. as such if you are looking for a bit of romance this is not the place for you. However if you are looking for a quick bite to eat then you probably can’t go wrong. The menu itself is ok, with the only comment is that it is probably on the heavy side. The service was ok though a little slow, but I am guessing that this is due to it being a Saturday evening. The major downside of the whole evening were the toilets, it is fair to that they resembled and smelt like an open sewer — not pleasant. Anyway I won’t be rushing back there again, but likewise(for the food at least) saying no to going again.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Can really recommend the blueberry and ginger smoothie. Mine lasted a matter of seconds! Eggs Royale are good and the addition of pumpkin seeds adds another dimension to the texture. Served on amazing bread, toasted to perfection! Great experience, would come back.

I came here with a group of three girlfriends who were visiting from the States and we really wanted a proper sit down breakfast. As a non-Brit and thereby expert on the subject, I am pleased to report that this is the only restaurant in the entire United Kingdom with a waiter who delivers excellent customer service! My friends and I visited the restaurant on a slow weekday morning. Even though I made a reservation, we most definitely didn’t need it. We were seated immediately in the mostly empty restaurant. The interior looks like it’s ripped from the pages of Pinterest — beautiful glass light fixtures juxtaposed with exposed pipes and brick. Lovely! Our waiter(aka the greatest waiter in London) was attentive, speedy, and utterly delightful! He even made that stiff upper lip smile! Moreover, the food was really good. Bill’s is a great option if you’re looking for a more traditional American brunch in a pretty setting.

I’ve been to a few of the Bill’s restaurants around town and always liked them, but this one is slightly ahead of the pack. The service is impeccable, with a particularly favourable mention going to the affable Scottish maître d’, who made a point of making sure we were comfortable last night despite the restaurant being busy. We were a party of 4 who had a lot of chatting to do, and so we were that annoying group that has to keep sending the waiter away because we hadn’t even looked at the menu. However, he was nothing but pleasant and helpful. When we eventually ordered, the food came swiftly and was delicious, with the duck pie going down especially well. We all had bottled beer which was fine, although some beers on draft would be great, as it seems that choice would suit the menu. The restaurant itself is really lovely — it has nice lighting and gorgeous interior design, just like the rest of the chain, though the table arrangement is better in this one. The seating somehow manages to be private and easy to get to at the same time. All in all we had a great night, and will definitely be coming back.

I was in London with a friend from Copenhagen and one evening we found our selves starving in Covent Garden. I tried to call a few restaurants for a table, but all was full — so we starting wandering till we walked passed Bill’s. It’s a chain, but it always looks cosy and I had good experiences with the breakfast so what the heck — we walked in an got ourselves a table. We ordered a bottle of sparkling and started off with the mezze, which was OK. The halloumi was good, but more greasy that usual(how is that possible) and the rest consisting of hummus, babaganoush, salsa and pita was so-so. Then the main — I went for the risotto, which was so bad that I had to send it back. It was so extremely dull and bland that I had to slap myself awake to even swallow. Anyway, I ordered the halloumi burger instead and it was OK. My friend went for the tuna with salad and quite enjoyed that, and we shared some fries as well. We didn’t order dessert being quite full — and acknowledging that it would probably not be as good as I was craving. Anyway, we had a good time, but the food really needs to take it up a notch to be able to compete — or attract me back. The service was amazing though, attentive and fun, high five for you pleasant folks.

Good call for a weeknight girly dinner. Think exposed brick and ventilation shafts with quirky touches that have become de rigueur at many places now, like hanging dried chillies and an olive oil can for an ice bucket. Big enough that we didn’t disturb anyone with our giggle fits but still somehow manages a cosy feel. Things you should know: 1) the Bill’s sign outside is hard to spot but it’s the place next to Be@One, 2) it’s a crowd-pleasing menu of fairly standard options(consider sharing for variety), 3) leave room for the warm choc brownie dessert(no need to share this tho), and 4) the toilets are miiiiles away downstairs so don’t wait til you’re desperate! Happy faces(post 2 wine bottles eek) and full tummies all round. Super friendly service also worth a mention, and to the waiter that thought no one could see him dancing to MJ in the corner — nice moves! ;)

This is my first review, I don’t usually like to make a fuss, but my experience here has moved me to write. We were a party of 10 on a Sunday lunch, one of our party recommend Bills, Soho and Covent Garden was booked out, so we came here. I think this one opened recently. The two vegetarians ordered the halloumi burger, but halloumi was non-existent. One of my friends ordered a caesar salad but the soft boiled egg, the egg white was still runny. Then he reordered the chicken skewers, which my wife also ordered. Although the chicken was charred on the outside it was still raw on the inside. By this time my friend have given up ordering anything else and my wife had lost her appetite biting into raw chicken. I am giving 2 stars mainly because my haddock and chips was very good and so was the service. In fact they tried to bend over backwards to tried to make up for the food, but nobody was hungry by then. I do hope they get their kitchen up to shape, because raw chicken is definitely avoid at all cost.
