The closest thing to Jamba Juice I can find in the UK. I like smoothies that are really tart and less targeted to the athletic type, as I enjoy them more as a treat than a supplement or meal replacement. Boost smoothies are all natural and very delicious. They would do well to ease up on the upselling, but that doesn’t stop me from going.

Seems like the LA trend of expensive juice bars has made its way to the UK. Similar to other juice bars, this place offers vegetable and fruit juices, smoothies, sugar-free smoothies, yogurt smoothies and anything else you can think of that involves blending fruit. I’ve tried a couple smoothies from the menu and their green vegetable juice. Their large cup is indeed a large(UK sizing that is). So for 4.95 you do get good value for money. A known juice bar offers similar products at half the size. I liked it but I was somewhat displeased buy the fact that they’re heavily based on smoothies and they call themselves a juice bar. 80% of the menu is smoothie and food based(they serve a few dishes) and the other 20% is a very basic list of juices. Might be visiting again.

This Aussie juice bar company made its way all the way to Oxford St in London. I have never heard of them before but they have similar concept with Jamba Juice from the UsA. While walking along Oxford St, we saw the new store and got curious about it. My husband and I went in to check it out. We noticed that their procedure for ordering is exactly the same as of the Jamba juice franchise, efficient, easy and organised. We tried the All berry Bang smoothie with vitamin boost in small size. They have 2 serving sizes small and large. Their sizing is fairly similar to the soda(soft drink) cup sizes. That being said, the small cup is at £4.25 while the next size up is £4.45. Personally, the price is quite hefty but then again it is London. The smoothie itself was good, healthy and refreshing but not as sweet as we want the fruits to be. Perhaps it is just seasonal considering the tough weather that UK/Europe had last few months. That is also if they use the local produce. In addition, they are also using styrofoam cups which we think is not really healthy for the environment. Sadly, I think Jamba was also using styrofoam cups. Hopefully both Jamba and Boost will be a bit considerate to the environment and make necessary changes to their styrofoam cups concept. Anyway, I was happy to have Boost popping around London Town but I am not sure if it is really worth the price. I am quite happy making my own smoothie at home.
