So I ended up at the Breakout café ironically because I had to go into prison. But only to run a training course thankfully, because I’m sure the breakfast here is much better than across the road! I like that Breakout has a few set breakfasts but then the prices broken down by item so you only end up getting exactly what you want — because I don’t like eggs with my fry up. I know, I’m odd. So I ended up having hash browns, sausage, beans, and mushrooms. I was very pleased with the portion size — certain the mushrooms was a huge volume(but don’t worry — I ate them all). Service was good and fast, and the wait staff even brought me over a knife and fork which I forgot to get at the counter. Next time I go to the prison, I’ll be back as while it isn’t worth the journey from West London, it is worth the visit if you’re nearby.

Good clean food, very fast service, slightly overpriced compared to other cafes nearby

Breakout Café, right opposite the prison, geddit!!! Decent giant portions and really clean inside, always had a good service from the lovely ladies here. This is one of the better greasy spoons and worth a visit.

There’s nothing remarkable about this Holloway café. Mainly catering for the local workforce, its typically sausage & chips greasy-spoon fare with an unimpressive made-to-order sandwich bar and some equally uninspired hot dishes for lunch. Prices are reasonable, the staff are very friendly and service is no-frills but extremely fast. If you’re in the area and need something hot, its ideal, but there are better places to go if you take a 5 minute walk down the Cally.
