Living all the way up north and needing to come to london for a couple of days during the week i searched the internet for a cheap hotel what i found was the Stone bridge park hotel, now changed to dridge park hotel. As our budget was tight we choose this as the price was very reasonable(altho it was a year ago so prices have gone up a little since then). We drove down to london and were very pleased to find getting to the hotel very simple, straight down the m1 as far as it goes a couple of left hand turns and we were there.(ok maybe not that simple but nearly) On arrival hubby had to stay outside for a cig as no smoking in the hotel, so i went to sign in and given the key o our lower ground floor double room. Went back out to hubby who is a home town boy never been away from home and he was almost in shock as he had been stood waiting 3 armed defence units had gone pass loading their guns LOL. Thats london for you. The hotel room was very nice and clean with a mini bar fridge and tea making things and a tv, altho the tv was high in the corner and not huge but thats was ok. We had a on suite bathroom also which had a bath/shower. The breakfast was included in our price and was actually very nice altho there were chips on it LOL. The hotel bar was very large with a pool table and juke box altho it would have benefitted from a litle makeover. The staff were all very friendly. The hotel is directly opersite a row of shops for those bits you might need whilst away, even a pizza shop and we were even told we could bring the pizza into the room if we wanted. The hotel is very close to wembley stadium and only a short walk from the tube station into main london so you can see the sites. Overall this is a hotel i would use again when ever we need that break away
