Amazing service, incredibly friendly staff. Tasty sandwiches. A great spot to refuel and reboot.

My colleagues have been here a few times and loved it. Unfortunately I didn’t like the toasted parma ham brushetta. The blackboard chalk sign outside the shop says £3.80 but it says £4 inside. That aside, they slapped a processed looking piece of cheese into it with a very thin slice of ham and some tomatoes. Both were tasteless and I regretted my decision. The service was not bad. However I’m not sure I want to risk it and come back for another lunch time sandwich. It is a nice cosy place for a coffee if you don’t want to go to a large coffee chain. There are around 5 tables inside.

Nice front window, friendly staff, lovely food and drinks :) what else do you want? The café is quite small but the staff is very happy to move the furniture to accommodate your party(and no need to ask). We started with coffees and then ordered a cheese platter and wine. All of it was really nice, including the bread on the cheese platter. Definitively a good address! I shall go back there :)

The eatery is small but cozy. Hand made sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Good value for money. I enjoyed the chorizo and mozzarella toasted ciabatta. Ordered two more for home, aubergine and parma ham. Around £10 for 3 sandwiches… not bad.

Love the atmosphere here! The furniture seems to have been picked up from antique shops; they have cleverly created little thin marble tables in a place that couldn’t support normal tables. This is an ideal place for a bacon and egg baguette in the morning or a latte.

It’s a little hole in the wall café, and gets props for not being a chain or trying to be something they’re not. What it certainly is, is cute and cheap, for a sandwich or coffee or all the other little normal things you can expect from a café. They can only fit two or three little round tables in there, the main counter taking up the majority of the real estate, but it’s not uncommon to see someone eating in, which speaks to the charm of the surrounding three walls. That said, the service is curt and slightly cold, if only because the english doesn’t flow naturally(are they eastern european? italian? baltic? I suck). but that said, I can tell there’s an inherent desire to please that really makes me want to help them succeed. I’ve only really sampled their breakfast sandwiches, bacon and egg and cheese and tomato or any imaginable combo on baguette for 1.90 or thereabouts which is a pretty damn good deal, meat being slapped on the grill as you wait. They don’t toast their baguette, which is too bad, and they don’t always ask about bread lube, sometimes throwing on butter or mayo or just leaving it dry, presuming to psychicly know your tastes and unfortunately not always succeeding. I guess I could be more proactive but in the morning, who wants to be? I’m really straddling the three/four star mark on El Buen Gusto, but bottom line is their sandwiches do make me happy for the price, and because of that I’ll go back, probably often, but they don’t make me hop about; I do hope they keep it going, ’cause you need these little guys to keep it real amongst the Neros and the Starbucks,
