For a café under a train stop, really good. Clean restroom, cheerful and friendly staff, and delicious cappuccino(great for the price and good size). Pastries, drinks, sandwiches and other snacks are available too. Free WiFi.

Despite a good long time of living in Shadwell and taking the DLR every day, I had never stopped into Café Marrone until a few days ago. I was in need of a hot chocolate prior to heading to the airport, and I was so surprised at how nice it was inside. Café Marrone is a great place to pop in for a quick sandwich or hot drink before catching the train. Conveniently nestled between the Oyster machines and the steps to the train, it’s a great place if you’ve forgotten breakfast or lunch(which I do all the time…). I didn’t try any food yet, but I plan to once classes start back up next week. The gentleman working the counter was fast and friendly, and made me feel like the only customer in the place(I was, but it’s nice to still be made to feel it!). All around, I really liked it, and will definitely return when I pass by in need of a quick pit stop.

Love the place. I used to eat panini there every week. Miss café Marrone, we lived 5 minutes away from it and now that we moved it is the only thing we missed. The stuff there are really friendly and great service from the coffee shop.

Café Marrone is my most recent go-to coffee spot! Lattes are super creamy. Add an extra shot & it’s the perfect strength for this poor jetlagged soul Nice bold coffee flavor w/no bitterness & the über-creaminess of the skim milk makes it so no sugar is even required! When I first arrived to London & finally hit my final destination, I realized I forgot to map out my route from the DLR to my friend’s place — ack! The nice folks here went onto their internet & pulled up the map, gave me directions, then walked me out to make sure I was heading the right direction… how nice! In addition to coffees, there is tea, sodas, juices, really good looking pastries & sandwiches as well. Internet kiosks, bar seats & comfy chairs are yours for the choosing — grab a paper & watch the busy people running to catch their train
