This place proved a nice refuge on a rainy day. It’s a fairly standard café really, serving chips, beans, eggs, sausage etc. The décor is not especially stylish, but looks quite newly done. They have some very nice art photos on the walls. I had hot chocolate and some black pudding, both nice. The black pudding was good with proper bits of chewy cereal. The sauces on the tables were good brands, rather than cheap generics, so they have some standards! Service was good, and the atmosphere relaxed. The toilets are downstairs. Down there things were a little tattier: The staircase is definitely due a lick of paint and the seat is missing from the ladies loo. But still OK. Overall, nothing to write home about, but a good place for some cheap grub if you are in the area.
