really, it depends what you want. not what you need, but what you want. do you really want another beatles or amy winehouse t-shirt? that’s for you to decide. fun people watching and some good shoe shops for adidas trainers, but not a must-see.

This place feels like a hedge maze. You enter in, and then T-shirts, dresses, ball caps and all manner of accessories swirl in close around your head while you run into the other shoppers in the narrow aisles. It reminds me a lot of the night markets in Taiwan, minus the food. It’s even the same in the way that you will see a lot of the same merchandise for sale at multiple stalls, as if they all go through the same distributor. It’s kind of funny. And this is definitely the«cheap» market. A lot more mass-manufactured, lower-quality stuff and fewer handmade items than at the Stables, for instance. A lot more one-size-fits-all stuff. A lot more trucker caps and aviator shades. I picked up some cute summer tops and a few accessories — some belts and chunky bracelets. Maitre D. got some rad T-shirts and a couple of jackets(he has a jacket problem like I have a shoe problem). Haggling is cool here, too, so we pretty much got everything for a steal. A tip for that — if you’re trying to haggle and they’re not having it, just walk away and see what happens. A scant few places won’t have it, so be prepared for them to let you keep walking, of course. But take my word that I didn’t see that happen once. All in all, a pretty cool experience. I’d give the place a better rating if it didn’t make me feel so dirty and if there weren’t so much repetition with the goods available at the various stalls.

Eeek don’t come here unless you want to be contaminated with an infectious disease… the place is literally crawling with respiratory infections, meningitis and STDs.

Camden Buck Street Market(T-shirt stalls by the tube station) is London’s hotspot for humorous t-shirts. Ranging in price from £5-£15, you have to wind your way through the narrow walkways, whilst keeping your head on a swivel to take in the 200 different stalls. Not only t-shirts are sold here but many different fashion items. I tend to wander aimlessly till something catches my eye. This is the beauty of Camden. There is so much to see you can just wander and not get bored. Market gear will always be cheaper than high street prices so do look out for bargains. Don’t be afraid to haggle either. Many of times I have bartered and come away with an item for less than originally quoted.
