Very friendly and homey. A nice break from the very busy nearby Camden Market.
Dleicious sandwiches and tasty tea.

Haven’t actually tried the coffee yet but went in with my baby waited 10 minutes with no acknowledgement some left — I don’t think the guy behind the counter noticed or cared. It’s a shame as I would always rather give my business to the smaller firms and not the chains

Ce petit Coffee shop, situé à deux pas de la station de métro de Camden, est tout simplement le plus charmant des endroits à Londres! Et oui rien que ça. Cosy, chaleureux avec ses murs rouges et son mobilier en bois sombre, il offre peu d’espace à l’intérieur certes, mais il est bien agencé et donne envie de prendre son temps. De plus, une terrasses en arrière cours est la pour les beaux jours!
Sachez le, vous êtes ici des chez amoureux du café! On né se contente pas de vous en servir dans de jolie tasse en dessinant de belle feuille d’érable dans la mousse crémeuse, non ici on le torréfie sur place et on le vend en grain ou moulu ! Histoire de retrouver à la maison le goût du café qu’on a apprécié déguster.
Passionné? C’est le moins qu’on puisse dire! Cela se ressent dans le service aimable et précis, dans l’attention porté au produit et dans sa préparation.
En plus du café donc, on retrouve le choix classique de boisson chaude et fraîche d’un coffee house, ainsi qu’une carte alléchante proposant de quoi prendre brunch, déjeuner ou goûter!
Ce que j’ai apprécié particulièrement, c’est que mon chai latte n’était pas sucré! Les chaînes de coffee shop on tendance à nous vendre des boissons hyper sucré et calibré, pas toujours à mon goût. C’est agréable de pouvoir choisir la quantité de sucre que l’on consommé soi même :-)
J’ai retrouvé ici la même implication et la même envie de faire plaisir à ses clients que j’ai découvert lorsque mes pieds on franchi pour la première fois le seuil d’un coffee shop à New York. C’est quelque chose qu’on n’avait pas encore en France à l’époque. Et même si tous le monde connais Starbucks de nos jours, c’est très différent. Et c’est très agréable !
Les pâtisseries et autre douceurs sont préparés dans les commerces locaux. Les sandwichs sont assemblé sur place à la commande.
Petite remarque d’ailleurs, la personne qui a fait les sandwichs portait des gants! C’est bête mais je vois ça si rarement que je tenais à le signaler.
Le personnel est vraiment très aimable et serviable. Ils sont aux petits soins et à l’écoute de leur client. On s’est senti bichonné!
Si avec tout cela je né vous ai pas encore donné envie de prendre le premier Eurostar pour Londres, je n’y comprend plus rien ;-) Moi en tout cas, j’ai hâte d’y retourner.

Wonderful little coffee shop in this land of tea. If you want a real latte and a nice placebo enjoy it, this is your place. The baristas are very nice and patient, more importantly though they brew very good coffee. The pastries were pleasant as well.

Took cover in here back in February after getting seriously pelted with snow and entered absolutely freezing and totally dishevelled! Well, I’m glad for the snow, because otherwise I would’ve walked on by without sampling a very tasty Chai Tea Latte served up with some interesting, friendly dialogue by the owner, and an hour of free wifi sat in a warm cosy back space…
I also loved the local artist work adorning the walls which is a nice touch.
The coffee choices looked good too and I intend on sampling one on my next visit!

I“m not a coffee snob by any means, but when I go to a coffee shop, I’m looking for a few things in particular:
1. Good coffee
2. Friendly baristas who know their stuff, but aren’t snobby about it
3. Good atmosphere
4. Good looking food — that doesn’t look like it’s been sitting around uneaten for long
5. Free WiFi and outlets
Camden Coffee House checked all these off, and then some. I had a Dirty Chai (which I’d never heard of, but it’s a chai latte with a shot of espresso) and my friend had a double Americano. Mine was delicious, though could have been hotter. She said hers was great. We didn’t have any food, but the apple pie looks delicious, and I’ll be back for a piece.
We sat around for a few hours without ever feeling like we were taking up space. The owner’s cousin was closing and did a last call for coffee, which I really liked. He told us we were welcome to stay while he cleaned the downstairs but that we locks the front door while he’s down there — we didn’t take him up on the offer (we had to be going soon, anyway) but I thought it was a really nice touch.
The owner/​staff are very friendly and know the fine line between being friendly and disturbing you. I’m definitely planning a return. I just wish it was open later — though 5pm closing seems the norm for London coffee shops, which is unfortunate!

What I will say is really friendly and personal service, excellent HasBean coffee (we buy the big bags for our machine at home) and the delicious and awesome blueberry cream muffins they are injected with a creamy center and are so, so good. I come by regularly for takeaway coffee on my way to work. Have never sat in as décor is a little bit tired, that’s why is gets 4 not 5 star. With a bit of decorating and ambiance I would give it 5 star.

Cheap, cute, chic. Camden Coffee House is a great independent coffee spot.
Located in, obviously, Camden, this tiny coffee house is bare bones. You walk into a small room — a counter for sitting against the window, coffee bar in front of you and a few seats in the back of the room.
They have your basic menu of teas and coffee, although I was able to get a chai tea which I love and find that isn’t always carried at coffee shops in London. Win to that. And the prices were reasonable and the service was fast.
Need a spot to sit, then? There are more seats downstairs! … Not a lot more, mind you, but a few more than you knew about a second ago.
Wifi is spotty for sure. Even with the password, we had trouble getting online and had to use my BT connection to get service. Ah well.
Everything else was so nice that I would come back in a heartbeat if I was in Camden. Easily a great spot for a great cup or to get some work done.

I used to go to CCH each morning before going to work nearby and I have to say that I miss the lovely coffee and a friendly chat now I moved out of London to Ware.
I only hope to find a similar coffee house here!

I have been in to CCH a few times on my way to work and every time the staff are very attentive and friendly.
The coffees are always good, and the cappuccino always has the right foam consistency (something that Pret & Costa in Camden seem to fail at miserably!)
they also have a pretty decent loyalty card scheme just 5 cups gets you a free one on your next visit!
The also sell teapigs teas which I love although they don’t stock my favourite chili chai or lemon & ginger.
And if you’re lucky, you’ll get to see their beautiful big tabby cat wandering around :)

I’m a bit of a coffee junkie so I was hoping for a better cup of coffee when I came in here. Don’t get me wrong, it was all right, but nothing to write home about. However, I have to say the service was incredibly friendly, they could not have been nicer and I did appreciate the lovely décor and the wifi.

I absolutely love this place. I am so tired of going for coffee where it is a mechanical process from ordering to getting it and then getting burnt milk in my coffee. There is nothing worse than burnt milk.
I actually find this not just a good coffee but also a learning experience as the owner was willing to talk me through how it is made and I am getting to try different ways in which coffee is made like a NZ flat white or a Spanish Cortado.
The cortado at Camden Coffee House is my new favorite coffee.
I would like to ask them to make the vietnamese with condensed milk — so sure they could make that so well — but I may have to go at a quiet time and see what the owner says.
For those looking for a hidden gem — must visit the garden — amongst the hustle of camden — this is a little paradise!

A «must» stop over on my way to work in the morning ! I am French and as such addicted to coffee, but quality coffee ! Camden Coffee House provides great coffee to satisfy my addiction and it always comes with a chat and a smile. I couldn’t ask for more :-)

I’ve had some excellent coffees from here and some coffees which were not so excellent, so, although not a complete lottery, your flat white or cappuccino might not always be completely up to scratch. I really want to give this place **: the surroundings are nice, the prices are excellent, the service is brilliant; but they need to start delivering consistently excellent coffee for me to do so.

I’ve been working in Camden for about 6 months now and painfully recall the first fortnight, hunting the local Camden streets for a decent café to dedicate my average £5/​day coffee kitty. After many painful hours, sipping what I believed to be boiled drain water from the likes of Costa, Nero’s, Starbucks, Pret, Eat (you get the drift) and some other small, non-​chain cafes; I stumbled across Camden Coffee House! Hallelujah!
Let’s face it, its not Monmouth nor is it Wild & Wood, BUT its as good as it gets in Camden (unless someone out there can enlighten me further)!
The café is small and cosy — offering both stools and couches for a quick eat-​in chill out experience. Whilst I’ve always gotten my coffee to-​go, enroute to the office in the mornings, I can imagine the café to be quite pleasant to just sit and chill whilst enjoying a well-​made cup of fairtrade coffee (currently using ‘Has Bean’ coffee beans), listening to their chillout music and taking in the mild incense scents wafting around the café but not clashing with the sweet smell of freshly ground & brewed coffee. They also have TeaPig teas…
The owner and barista, Sunny, is an affable and bubbly character whose always ready to cheer you up in the mornings whilst making sure you don’t need to rattle off your order everyday (amazing memory)! Furthermore, if you’re a regular, remember to pick up a frequent sippers card — every 5^th drink is free! Home and hosed…

I’m glad the owner read and commented on my review, it shows the power of Qype and the responsibility of business owners to make sure they listen to their customers.
I was invited in after my bad experience to understand that these guys are serious about creating a decent café. The CCH serves up quality food and proper coffee for the community. Yes, Camden has a lot of touristic tendencies with some of the food and drink options. It also has a lot of high street chains. This however, is a gem in the rough.
At the CCH they have been involved in the feedback loop with the excellent Hasbean coffee (check out there website and cool coffee related animations– like no other coffee roaster) so after some hit-​and-​miss (I previously came in during a miss) they have now worked out everything. What to serve. How to serve it. How to make it right.
I tried an espresso (served properly in a modern Scandinavian designed glass). The espresso blend was served right, with well coloured crema. It had flavours of robust dark chocolate, spicy candied fruit, a touch of sourness (a good thing) and milk chocolate in the finish. A perfect espresso.
I also tried a cortado made with a different Hasbean blend (to accompany milk better– good attention to detail). Again, the cortado (best described as a ‘cut short’ flat white) was served correctly and the nuttier flavour of the roast complemented the hot stretched creaminess of the milk. I found this particularly satisfying for such a short drink.
My friend Woody (that’s his name, not referring to a coffee’s flavour) who is a coffee novice who lives in NZ was persuaded into trying an NZ invention: the flat white. As he lives in Queenstown, some of the coffee obsession doesn’t seem to be have migrated to the South Island town. For a guy who normally has a minimum requirement of a cup of coffee just ‘being hot’ it was amazing to see his response of flavours and the appreciation of a well made drink.
Woody and I left the CCH both learning about coffee. For me it was great to see that the owner took his business seriously after a single negative review. I wish all business owners made an effort to get things right and when occasionally it goes wrong then try again.
I have returned since. The coffee was superb. Well done CCH.

I found this establishment a let down. After admiring the excellent décor ad colour scheme which even makes a painted attractive feature out of a ’60’s gas meter that is fixed to the wall (I had the same one and replaced it recently due to it’s bulkiness and ugliness). The retro/​modern brown and orange had it working the room and gave a good impression.
I was impressed at this point and sat in a odd comfy seat. The staff were having an ‘ignoring the customers’ conversation so when I saw a gap I went it to ordar a flat white. What I received was not even near to a flat white. It was almost off in a touch sour way and had an oily coffee residue on the surface. Normally at this stage I go back to the counter but the rude staff were back to ignoring-​mode. I then had the shock factor and let disappointment get the better of me and I failed to ask for another.
The lie of a flat white was so different to the nasty coffee I got, I didn’t feel the new request or insult would help me get a better coffee. So I left it.
I used the toilets downstairs after and spotted a small garden area, it looked nice, this earns it one star. As I left I was ignored and was even blocked to exit by a staff member. A huge disappointment as I’m sure I’d read good reviews. Perhaps they’ve just got a good PR team? Perhaps the PR people should make the coffee instead?

Where in the hell can you get a halfway decent coffee in Camden Town? It sure isn’t with any of the… errmm… «larger and more conspicuously branded chain shops» in the neighbourhood, that’s for sure. There used to be a nice place that sold Segafredo, staffed by 2 perky and strangely perpetually immaculately white-​dressed blondes next door to the Jazz Café, but that’s no longer.
Sure, you can perambulate up to Chalk Farm Road and poke your snout into any of the quirky organic knotholes up there, but if you’re on the pre-​work morning station run it’s all very dire (the low-​point being Café L’Amentine).
However the game has now changed with the arrival of The Camden Coffee House. A quality coffee shop that doesn’t leave you feeling or looking like a prat for having gone through the process of buying a cup.
We are talking top shelf brews, friendly staff, and an assortment of fresh breakfasty sugar/​fat bundles (croissants, muffins & the like) that sing their sweet siren’s song from behind the glass.
AND: they know how to make a Cortado. Be still my beating adenosine receptors.
I’d best go back again tomorrow. For research purposes.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. As I found the place and went inside, it gives a quite nice impression. They do seem to have a clear idea of what coffee should be. Interestingly enough, the even have the Spanish «cortado» on the menu. However, when it comes to delivery, the coffee was really not good. Near boiling temperature, resulting in burnt tongue and damaged flavour of the coffee. Now, I don’t want to judge this shop to easily, because it seemed that I walked in just after closing time and was probably served by somebody who was either new or had not worked there very long. So, I will have to give it another chance. Very interesting potential in this coffee shop, but they definitely need to figure out how to make a proper cup of coffee.

Camden Coffee house is by far the best coffee house in NW1.
Its cheaper than all the star-​costa-​pret-​blabla and the coffee is fairtrade. careful there coffee to go is piping hot.
i moved to Camden about a year ago and the struggle for a working internet connection led me to the coffee house down the road.
After being there twice i knew the staff and i would get extra chorizo on my bagel. (Bagels are amazing!)
So really lovely place, quite small but homely free WIFI and amazing bagels. Also there is a thingy-​card which gives you free coffee for collecting stamps.
Only Advise, last time i was there still no working lights in the toilet, so be aware of that in case you stay there for a while.

A fairly new coffee house in Camden, I was visiting London and a friend I was staying with told me about this amazing coffee house that she had just been to, owned by a friend of hers.
Of course, being the foodie that I am and not being able to say no to anything new — we went for a quick bite around lunchtime and suffice it to say, I loved everything I had! Great food, amazing coffee, cute areas to sit and free WI-​FI folks!
The owner is super nice and I’d recommend going here instead of stopping at a Starbucks or Costa!
