A safe place to stop halfway down King’s road, have a decent cup of coffee and get free WiFi. Don’t be fooled by busy tables upstairs, there’s a whole load of space downstairs which is private enough for a meeting or to work from.

Very relaxing ambience, particularly upstairs in the evening. Not cheap, but good value for the area. Have only tried cake and drinks so far, but all have been excellent. Small gripe is only one unisex toilet for quite a large café.

Excellent, though pricey coffee and cake a superb americano, a rocket-fuel doppio espresso, and a cake doesn’t get you much change out of £15. On the other hand, the tables outside, and the prime location at the interesting end of the King’s Road, mean that this is an excellent location to watch the world go by. One further, very minor gripe, would be that in my experience they can be a little slow to open in the morning. Call me a bluff old traditionalist, but I really think opens at 9 on Sunday should mean ready to go at 08:59, not maybe open the doors at 9.20. But the coffee really is superb.
