£105 for a haircut? They have really hiked the prices — two massive increases within a year. Unjustifiable. The service is still the same(+okay but not amazing).

This is my favourite salon in the world. ALWAYS receive an excellent wash, cut and styling, no matter who my stylist has been. I am in London at least once a year, and everytime I book my flights, I book an appointment to have my hair done. So much so, that it will be just over a year since I had my hair cut. Yes, I know, terrible for split ends but I have some fabulous products that mitigate that problem while my hair waits for magicians to work their magic! I would recommend Charles Worthington anyone and everyone I know who is in or is going to be in London. The strands on my head can’t wait to see you in May!

When I started working in the city I decided to try Charles Worthington based purely on reputation and I was so glad I did. I visited the Broadgate Club which is just by Liverpool street. It is quite tucked away so if you have never been before leave plenty of time to locate it. The salon is quite small but the staffs do so much for you it really is an experience from start to finish. I wanted quite a radical cut and they listened to all my requirements and consulted me regularly to ask if I liked what they were doing. You are offered refreshments(at a small cost) and I really felt well looked after. It is pricey but the quality is excellent and they really do attempt to make it an all round experience rather than just a haircut.

I’ve been to «The House of Charles Worthington» a few times now and although pricey, the service, experience and professionalism of the staff is second-to-none. Reception staff are friendly, welcoming and offer you a selection of refreshments throughout your visit(there is a small initial charge for these of £2) Carly, who’s been my stylist for every visit is superb. She’s highly skilled and ensures her clients are given a thorough consultation to ensure she really does listen when you’re explaining what look you are hoping for. It’s very much a two-way process and she ensures that you’re happy before making that first cut or colour. I’ve been to so many hairdressers who go through the process of a consultation however, afterwards you find they didn’t listen to a word you said, and you’re left unhappy and disgruntled for paying so much money for a haircut that doesn’t suit you! CW and Carly are the opposite of this and exemplary of the high standards all hairdressers should apply to their service. I do think the price we pay for women’s hair to be cut or coloured now-a-days is extortionate at most salons, however I really do feel pampered and well looked after at CW(which is definitely NOT the experience I’ve had at many supposedly equivalent salons in the West End and in particular Soho and Covent Garden) so I don’t begrudge paying a little bit more when I come away feeling fantastic! For a full price list of hair(and nail) services, go to the salon’s website;
The only reason I’m not going to give CW5 stars is because of the price, but to be fair to them they are probably more than comparable to other hairdressers at the same level in the same area.
