I used to work as a projectionist in cineworld and i can tell you quite freely the reason that the reel was the wrong way round; It is due to inexperienced projection operaters(often employed with no previous experience in a projection department) working for the minimum wage. This is(or was) standard practise right across the board of all cineworlds in the UK. Though on the other hand the Film buying practises in the cineworld chain are(or where) very open minded. The theory being to give the local area the films it would like(rather than a heavy dose of hollywood action movies(though they have them there too, this is a multiplex after all!!)). This is especially interesting in a vastly multicultural area such as Wood Green. A cordial salute Anon

I went to see a screening of The Royal Tannenbaums here, and they managed to load the last reel into the projector wrongly, so that the last part of the film was upside down and backwards. They stopped the screening, claimed there was a fault and compensated us for the ruined film by offering ONE free ticket to see a film in the same cinema. Not surprisingly, I have never been back. I hope they have competent staff now.

I love the cinema, and this cinema is my local. The service varys, sometimes good, and then terrible. Some are friendly and some are just miserable. Really clean and tidy though

Cineworld is a great cinema in Wood Green Shopping city. The prices arnt expensive which is good on a day out. They show latest and old films which is good because if you missed out on a film, then you can still go and watch it. The Cinema has arcades, a sweet stand and a popcorn stand. The cinema is really big, even though it looks small. It is very hygienic, and friendly. The cinema has many screens and has a deluxe part of it. I recommend anyone to go and watch a film there.
