I’m quite torn on how I feel about this place. Once upon a time this used to be a proper Irish pub but over the years has changed into a regular pub with a mock Irish feel to it. The Middlesex Uni campus is a stones throw away so expect this place to be packed with students most nights of the week. The«live» music is what you’d expect to hear at a student bar but with the cheap drink offers, everyone is usually too drunk to notice. I’ve never eaten here but the food looks like what you’d expect at most pubs. Mostly it’s a good place to watch some live sport with your mates and they pull a good pint of the black stuff. This place can be a hard pub to define. Part mock Irish pub, part student hangout, part Eastern European congregation. The Claddagh Ring can be hit or miss but depending on the night you go, can be a decent Irish pub with a good vibe and decent night out.

I visited this pub on a regular basis, and really liked it, but it’s not really anything unusual or special. However, it does have a nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, and fairly decent food. It’s a really nice place to sit outside on a warm day. The only issue I really have is the staff. Some of them are genuinely nice and friendly people, others are rather abrupt and rude, which is really a shame, and quite unnecessary.

Great Irish pub with good spirit and a great atmosphere, The night I was there they had a great Traditional Iris Band playing all the classics. I will b back there soon.

I’ll be honest and up front and say that I haven’t been here in a while. However, when I was a student at Midddlesex Uni it was one of my favorite places to go(without having to go into town). The fish and chips was cheaper than anywhere else in town and your portion was bigger as well. The crowd on the weekends is lively and fun, particularly when a band is playing.

Stopped by on a business trip. Good food, good beer, friendly service. I would definitely stop back again. A little pricey, but when on expense who cares!

This place gets a guaranteed 5 stars just for how well they take care of my grandparents when they go. It is a great pub, with Irish comfort food, great TVs to watch football, and the staff is absolutely excellent. I recommend the Irish Stew.

Another frequented venue of mine when visiting my Irish friends in London. Late bar/DJ so will be at the messier end of the night. W’ends are always busy here and majority of people in here will be Irish. Good music(DJ Barney or live band) but drink can be found less expensive elsewhere. Dance floor area is you want to strut your stuff. Most Irish people in London know about this place.

This is the pub I mostly try to avoid having to visit in Hendon. The drinks are extortionately expensive for the area(i.e. expect to pay over £5 per drink for spirits and mixers), and there are no cold soft drinks at all, they are all on shelves behind the bar, and the fridges are used only for alcoholic beverages. I had expected this to mean that a soft drink would be cheap, but it is not. You are served a mini bottle(less than half a pint) of warm coke and charged about £2 for it. The staff do not seem bothered about the nasty warmth of their drinks, I just got a shrug and a kind of «that’s just how it is here» response. The food is probably the redeeming feature, being reasonably priced and tasty hearty fare, if a little bog-standard pub grub(but then it is a pub!). The only problem here is the seemingly random amount of time you wait for it. Sometimes the food comes quickly, and other times you find yourself asking what has happened, and after some embarrassment on the part of the staff, find that they have forgotten the large group of you all sitting there looking hungry. The interior is clean, well maintained and comfortable, with a large number of tables and chairs so you can sit down to eat. It is however very dark inside, not so much a problem at nights, but it seems very dark compared to outside during the day, making it a bit weird to eat lunch in. The pub shows sporting events on big screens, which are much larger than usual pub screens, though if you aren’t there for the sports, you might want to avoid the pub on these occasions as it becomes very loud and crowded at these times, or you could sit outside and watch the world go by on the tables they have out on the street. Overall, not somewhere I go unless I can’t force an alternative!

This is a gastro pub without the pretentiousness that sometimes overshadows such establishments. The staff are very friendly and the pub is attractive and clean with great loos and a lovely atmosphere. The food is mainly Irish comfort food and is served hot and tasty and I am drooling now whilst typing this, it is making me very hungry. They do show sports and it gets pretty hectic when the footy or such is on, but it is a lovely place to sit outside for a while watching the world go by.

I just happened to stop by this place recently with an Irish friend to have a bite to eat and was amazed at at how nice the food was. The menu is a typical Irish dinner menu, roast chicken with ham, and loads of veg which is what I had. I wish I was living close to this place and I wouldnt bother cooking anymore. Its also got Irish favourites such as bacon and cabbage, salmon and of course its a bar so there is plenty of guinness and other beverges. The prices were all under £10 and they have daily specials on offer and the food was great value. The outside of the place looks like a typical bar but on the inside it is more modern looking with nice décor. The waiter/barman was great and of course he turned out to be a local from near where Im from and had the usual banter. Im going back again if only to check it out some more and get another great dinner. There is also live music but I dont know much about this as yet. A drawback is that the place is a fair bit from Hendon central station about half a mile walking so a car would be handy to visit this place.

I’m not sure why I rate this pub so highly. It’s an Irish pub, few tables outside, pool tables, dark, dingy, unappetising food. But it does have a certain charm about it, and when I’m in the area quite often go there. The upstairs is not open normally but is available to hire, and it’s pretty reasonable. It has always had a late licence on weekends, and it’s always nice to find a local pub where you can keep drinking til 2am. They have bands on the weekend, usually cover bands and usually pretty good — and a lot of the pub turns into a dance floor. Reasonable prices, good atmosphere(especially late at night). Often recommend this place to my friends.
