Coffee Republic on Rochester Row is a nice small coffee shop. You wouldn’t think it was a chain with its decent(for London) prices and small friendly feel. It’s pretty much the same barristers everyday so regulars benefit from familiarity and it’s always nice have your barrister say ‘the usual?’. The Americano is proud and strong so those who don’t like their coffee bitter might want to add milk or try another drink. The flat white seems consistent across baristas here which is great as hardly anyone seems to be able to get the foam consistency right. Here, however, it’s always velvety and smooth, not too airy and not too milky, just right! They have panini’s, toasties, salads and sandwiches also. The tuna melt is actually delicious. There aren’t many seats so if you are here during peak times, however most people don’t usually stay too long so you’re never too far from getting a seat. There is free wifi but I think it is restricted to 1 hour.

Yummy vanilla lattes and an assortment of packaged cookies from around Europe and various muffins and things in a case. Good place to chill out after walking around Westminster for the day. The coffee was very good, and the chairs comfy. Would go back.

An average cup of coffee. Americano was too bold and bitter. Tasted like over roasted beans.

Coffee Republic got me through my day. Cheap and completely palatable espresso, yummy salmon and cream cheese bagels, and the nicest and most entertaining staff of any chain coffee shop in Soho. But it is gone! Gone! Closed up in the middle of the day with no warning, no reason, just a sad A4 sign hung in the window informing its patrons of its closure, «effective immediately». It probably would have warranted a 4-star rating if it hadn’t closed, but with Coffee Republic dead and gone, all I have now is time to think about how much I miss it.
