My favorite store in London!
Forget the average clothes from Oxford Street! Collectif is nearby Camden Market and has two floors with clothes in 50s style. Whatever if you have size XXXS or XXXL. Every woman will feel like a feminine and sexy 50s babe in a Collectif outfit! The collection is great and it is hard to choose one dress instead of all. The prices and quality are good. For a dress I had paid £40−50 and during sales they are much cheaper. I’m glad that my boyfriend joined me every time, because without him I was a broke and desperate 50s woman.
Go rockabilly and get an awesome outfit from Collectif!

I have found the mecca for rockabilly/​reproduction vintage Americana in the Camden Market?
I stumbled on this place wandering around the markets. It’s easy to get lost but just as easy to stumble in.
Collectif had a really great selection of womens clothing — much better than what I can find here in Los Angeles.
I would not hesitate to send a friend here who needed a dress in a hurry and couldn’t wait for it to be delivered.

Established in 2001, Collectif is one of Europe’s leaders and originators in Vintage Reproductions. Starting off as a small shop in Camden Market, Collectif originally focused on Punk and Psychobilly styles.
However, with the addition of new designers and the increased popularity of the Rockabilly scene, Collectif expanded focusing their attention on the classic looks of 1940s and 50s (and 60s) and saw the opportunity to reproduce Vintage fashions for the modern woman.
Their designs cater and fit all shapes and sizes from petite to those with curves, and their range of Collectif models reflect this. In other words they «compliment and celebrate the female form.»

I have found the promised land of dresses, and it is Collectif. I swear, if I had known about this place months ago, I would have been here every.single. payday.
This is a rockabilly Princess’ dream, with pencil dresses, swing dressees, 50’s accessories. and to think I found it by getting lost! The greatest thing is that the sizes go up to a 20, so you’re pretty much guaranteed to find a dress that fits you, no matter what size you are.
I was in here for over an hour browsing before walking out with a £10 cherry print pencil dress. I was beyond happy. I was ecstatic.
I think I need to pencil these guys into my monthly budget. Or find a sugar momma that will buy me the shop and let me model them for her ;)

The Collectif Fashion Shops is a collective of fashion shops. ahem. They sell womens clothing in such a wide variety of forms that you could take your nan there, your mum there, your little sister there, your girlfriend there… etc. Which is only a good thing! However the shop looks a bit haphazard and you’re just taken aback from the crazy colours and the uniform hanging up of all of the clothes. Where are the distinguishing features? Why is this rain mac hanging next to a pair of Fred Perry loafers? (They’re not, just using example). A decent enough place though.
