This place is getting lots of attention and getting well known locally but for the wrong reasons, it is seen as a bit of a joke and even my friends find it odd that a left wing café is owned by an estate agent and selling properties to the middle class masses from the same venue. However I have been in there and it is a nice place. It is perfect for a coffee, not tried the food but looks OK for what I saw. Some nice comfy chairs but only comment was I overheard the staff slagging off the inflated prices to a customer for food in the Royal Albert pub opposite and that locals should not be giving money to big pub chains. The next customer got the same thing from them, so wished they said it to me as I love the Albert. The three stars reflect that it needs better staff and its limited appeal to parts of the community.

Went there today, soup with sausage turned out to be those ones you find with beans in cans. Staff haven’t got a clue what is on menu or if they still do that actual menu or not. Also very expensive for supermarket own brand drinks and the cakes at £2 a small slice are expensive also. Two people there at lunch time, when it should be busy sort of should have given me warnings not to venture in. Avoid and go opposite side of road for some decent grub at the Royal Albert pub.
