I don’t know whether it was the fever from my cold, whether it was having watched«Life of Brian» recently or just wanting to avoid going home I entered this bizarre compendium of the weird and wonderful. I exited feeling more like I’d had an LSD trip than going into a gallery. It sits behind Warren Street station between it and the site of the new Crossrail station with an abundance of cafes and little shops. When I was inside it had an utterly bizarre exhibition called Serge v’s Spaceship Earth by Serge Seidlitz. It was really beautiful set of fine bizarre prints and furniture that’s worth taking a look at(though the prices may make you want to take more than one credit card!). A little gem that I’d never thought to pop into and nice for a brief visit, if you’re in the area and need some distraction. PS I also hear their openings have free booze!

Good commercial gallery in Fitzrovia which has occasional brilliant shows: like the current one on St Giles Rookery
