The last time I was in the UK I found it absolutely impossible to find a drinkable (that is to say –Not Instant) cup of coffee. The Brits might have the Tea thing down, but like decent showers, a good cup of joe seems to have eluded them.
Fortunately, that seems to have changed for the better. Apparently over the last few years, café culture has sprung up all over the place, and Costa presented a nice alternative to Starbucks.
There’s nothing here that was too remarkable, Costa is cut from the same cloth as Caribou, Starbucks, et al., but they did provide fast hot drinkable coffee to allay my jet-​lag aggravated caffeine withdrawal.
I think I stopped in here every day I was in London. If you need decent a decent cup of coffee, I suggest you do the same.
