This is my third review of this place. I have had problems with them in the past hence the 1* reviews, but things are starting to turn around. Can one person really make a difference? In the case of Costcutter, yes they can. A little lady has started working the counter, and she has really brightened the place. Rather than being served by the clearly untrusting, dour men, there is now this, happy chatty lady, who is always ready with a smile.
I may just be me, but there seems to be a few deals starting to pop up on their shelves too. Well done Costcutter, keep up the better work.

Mind my French. Thieving bâtards!
Costcutter is geographically convenient and literally next door to my building. It has great business hours and plenty of bits and pieces available for purchase.
That said, they are absolutely dreadful, literally scamming people at every opportunity. They notoriously place promotional prices in front of other similar food items, overcharge on ticketed prices by 10 or 20p per item (hoping you won’t say anything) and huff and puff when they are called out on their dishonest mistake. I am sick and tired of being disappointed with the service provided to me and feel much more invested in taking my business to stores like Crescent Supermarket that is family run.
