Côte will present you with a decent breakfast, but unfortunately that comes at a price. This place is really popular for breakfasts now, which makes it too busy for my liking. A lot of people brought children with them, which were crying, screaming, running around and making havoc in general. Of course this is not the restaurant’s fault, but it does not help with the atmosphere. The food however was really good!

I have to say this is so far the best dining experience we have had in London. It started not so great with the staff seating a woman behind us in line first, but she was clearly a regular and I was ok with that. The host was great he was friendly and entertaining. The food was delicious the wife had the sea bass and I had the roast lamb and it was unbelievable. The carrots as a side dish was perfectly cooked with the right amount of butter to put a smile on your face. For dessert the fondant and the crêpe and both finished off a great meal. And the price was reasonable. I will suggest this to all my friends as a great place to spend the night out and will be entertaining friends and family here ongoing.

Although I am not a great supporter of chain restaurants flooding our cities, in this case I would like to make an exception: the previous tenants of this location(all independently owned) did not manage to attract many customers at all. The restaurant always looked empty, the interior was stiff and the prices were way to high. For a few months now, Côte has taking over the space and from one day to the other, this space has been buzzing with customers! In fact, on my recent visit(on a school night) we barely got a seat. Because of this, the only table available was near the entrance door, which was so busy swinging open and close that it was in fact quite unpleasantly draughty. Oh well, from a food and service experience I can give this establishment a solid three stars: I’ve had the«steak frites» and in fact, the fries were among the tastiest I’ve ever had. The service(contrary to the experience of the previous reviewer) was actually quite slow, which was probably due to the fact that they were simply overwhelmed with customers. Since then, I’ve also tried this place for breakfast, which was quite nice as well… a great perk being the free wifi, which is always a big plus in my eyes!

Very nice food competitively priced with the option of an À la carte menu to lessen the blow come the end of the meal. The interior is modern and clean looking yet well thought out enough to not seem sterile. I did not see any wheelchair access however I was not looking. I got the impression this was a place suited to a meal with friends and not really a family restaurant but I do not have children. Presentation of the dishes was well thought out and little quirks like ceramic bottles as opposed to the traditional glass water jugs set this restaurant apart from its competitors. However the staff seemed woefully needy ruining what would otherwise have been a perfect meal. After the 5th time we were asked if we liked our meal it started to get a little tiresome, I appreciate they need to stay on the ball but this was ridiculous. Also for some reason the food required two servers, one to hold the tray of food and another to dispense it to the customer. The classy appearance of this was outweighed by its inefficiency, it crowded the space around the table and surely if both servers were carrying and dispensing food the process would have been far faster. That said they seem keen to adapt and please and so in a couple of months you will probably be able to add another star to this review.
