Cowshed Shop

My local cow shed is a bright and airy place which is why I initially ended up at Space NK next door.
This shop seems like an afterthought and has a dark and dingy feel to it (not helped by a big hole in the ground by the front door). Staff had an easy ride as I came for a specific product. I like a free sample so this was happily received.

I find it weird that I am reviewing shampoo but I had such a good experience with Cowshed I must give them props for making such a wonderful product! I was in London on business and my company put me up at the High Road House in Chiswick. Imagine my surprise when I opened up the shower and found full bottles of shampoo in the shower. And not only that there were all kinds of showering gels. In all, there were a total of 5 full bottles of hair and body product. After a very long day of travel I needed nothing more than a shower. So I jumped in the large shower stall turned on the shower and I was pleased to discover the most most pleasant shower head. I was automatically put in a more relaxed mood. Then my curiosity got the better of me and so I started opening the various bottles of Cowshed product smelling each one. All the bottles smelled so sweet that it was hard to choose where to start first. Each bottle was tall and stately with the loveliest of designs. An art director like me couldn’t help but appreciate the attractive packaging/​design. There was something about the combination of that good shower head and the sweet smelling product that made that shower the best of my life. I am not sure a shower has ever satisfied all my senses before but this one did. The feel of the water drops on my body with the combination of lavender just made my heart happy! In fact, the entire week I was in London, the favourite moment of each day was taking a shower and using the Cowshed product. I don’t think I ever enjoyed bathing as much as I did that week. Of course I had to replicate the experience back home in California so I quickly found the Cowshed store which was conveniently located a door or two down from the hotel and bought me some product to take home. It was God awful expensive especially for an American but gosh darn it, I just had the best showering moments of my life! So for someone who is so not into girly products and hardly splurges on make up let alone hair product I of course had to buy some no matter the cost. And it was seriously the best find of my trip! My only regret is that I lost half a bottle of the wonderful shampoo as it burst open during my flight home. Oh No! I was so disappointed at the loss but then again my clothes smelled like lavender. Please Cowshed come to Los Angeles. I need you!

There are so many beauty products to choose from nowadays, natural, therapeutic, non animal tested, etc. Cowshed combines it all, and takes it one step further. Their products are 100% vegetarian made using hand picked herbs from a walled garden in Somerset. It sounds a bit mental but it must have its advantages, their hair care line has certainly made a difference.
It doesn’t come cheap at £13 a bottle of conditioner or shampoo, these can really alter how moisturised and soft your tresses feel. Other ranges include body lotions, massage oils, candles, hand care, soap and bathroom accessories.
In this shop the cow theme, with black and white spots goes very well with the minty green walls, it is a small shop but it is a wonderful shop, were you can even purchase vintage apple crates.
