I am glad that there is a knitting shop in my area. It is nice to be able to walk down there when I need something. However, this place is TINY. It is hard to browse because a lot of items are out of reach or without prices. If you know what you want though it is a great stop to just pop in and get what you need. They have been sold out of a needle I needed twice too so it does a fair amount of business. I have a next project in mind and found the yarn I will use here. It is at a very reasonable price as well. Granted I had to ask them to look up the price, but that’s ok. The lady working there was busy, yet was very eager to help.

A nice little wool and needlecraft shop on Turnham Green Terrace, adding to the eclectic mix of businesses in the area. It is primarily dedicated to knitters, there are shelves on top of shelves with many types of wool; Angora wool, Cashmere wool, Merino wool and Mohair wool. To a lay person this all sounds dull, but for any knitter or textile enthusiast these are all very relevant choices. However, I was a bit disappointed to see that some of the wool was not being protected properly in their respective plastic bags and seemed dusty, which in turn made the colours dull. Not surprising though, was to find the passion with which the sales woman(a lady of age) spoke about the art of knitting. An interesting anecdote; back in the day it was very common to see people knitting in buses the same way people listen to ipods. Wonder which one is more therapeutic?
