I had a duck burger here. Rich and tasty and a bit over the top to be honest. The burger was accompanied by some of the yummiest chips I’ve had in London. Seriously. As I remember, the burger was reasonably priced(around 7 or 8 quid). Not bad considering the upmarket location. If I ever find myself back at Westfield(I’m sure it will eventually happen) and hankering for some grub, I’ll probably hit le Croque up for another duck burger.

I just popped into Westfiled the other day to check out tha tail end of the sales(got a really nice bag FYI!) and ended up grabbing a quick lunch at this place. Now the food court at Westfield isn’t like the shopping centres of days gone by, no Burger King, no soggy baked potatoes, but instead some actual edible food! What a novelty. But anyway, I wondered lonely as a cloud, checking out the various options available to me and stumbled across this little gem. I’d ruled it our previously as the queues were too much to bear but it was a quiet weekday so I popped along to check out the menu. In the end I settled on a soup of the day: Garbure. Never heard of it before but it was so so good! Real actual food, a proper stock based soup full of duck meat and veges, I could have been in a provincial French town it was so good. It was actually the highlight of the day(better than my bargain shopping finds even!) So, my lesson has been learned, don’t judge a book by its cover, just because it is in a shopping centres food hall, don’t mean its not worth eating there. Mmmmmm, soup, I’m going back for more
