The Cycle Surgery is a chain which has about three stores across London, repairing and selling bikes to thousands of Londoners a week. Instantly you know you are dealing with some of the most professional salesmen and mechanics in the country.
I walked in here with Rusty my bike, just to get an awareness of prices, have a chat with the guys who work here and generally sniff the place out.
It wasnt too busy, so the bike dude was super friendly, and had very resourceful knowledge on my little (and embaressingly rubbish) fold away bike. He didn’t laugh at me and tell me I was a lunatic, in fact he pumped my tires up for free and told me how to oil it up. Just what I needed, free service and nice smile to match. Sound guy, great business!

These guys really know there stuff. They have a full spectrum of bikes on offer, meaning they have something for everyone. You’ll find hybrids, mountain bikes, BMX, racing, fixed gear and top end highly specialized machines. Depending on your budget you can splash out on the named brands or pick up something that will simply get you from A to B
The shop looks small from the outside, but once you enter you’ll find you have over 300 bikes to choose from. Once you’ve picked your dream machine, check out the vast amount of gear too.
The Camden store is perhaps aimed more at serious cyclists and sell new bikes with a small selection of secondhand.
If you are a serious cyclist though, you’ll be hard pushed to find a better bike shop in north London.
