Had the octopus, the avocado smash, and the 3 cheese flatbread. The octopus was incredible and was devoured within a few minutes. The smash and flatbread were also equally amazing

Really bad service, first dish arrived cold, they completely forgot to order the second dish and we had to wait another 20mins. they didn’t even bother to apologize

Lovely little spot for a coffee and brunch. Our breakfast food was lovely, though the portions are a little smaller than most are use to around town. I had a delicious avocado on toast with fresh tomatoes and my friend, poached eggs. Both were lovely and fresh, served on cute vintage china. The vibe inside its really chilled out, with large windows which are opened on warmer days. We visited quite early on a Sunday morning to find only two other customers in there, but it still took quite a bit of time and eventually, encouragement, for the staff to finish their conversation and serve us. That’s the only reason I’m not giving this place 4 stars.

i’ve been back here a couple of times since my first review updates: 1) the gin selection is excellent and the jug coolers offer great value 2) the food is healthy and very tasty, something which was very surprising 3) staff are attentive and always great for a laugh 4) getting a table seems to be harder and harder for walk-ins tho, a sure sign it’s catching on!

This is the kind of place that you could go to in the morning for breakfast, stay for a second round of coffees, do a bit of life admin in the arvo with some wifi then give up in the pm, have a glass of wine(or gin) then stay for dinner. Great service, excellent tunes(especially if you’re Aussie– they do have a tendency to pop an oz classic sound track in…) and delicious tangy hollandaise. Their menu features all sorts of breakfast classics that are well done. They also give you some lighter options. All their bread is sour dough and they use loose leaf tea. It’s down to earth and run by young people. It has a great atmosphere without anything over styled. If you’re lucky enough to get a window seat this is a great spot to people watch and enjoy(on a nice day) the perfect inside onside spot with big windows that open up.

I stopped in Damson & Co. while wandering like a lost tourist in Soho because it looked perfect inside; the spot on blend of rustic and modern with pretty lighting. Also, there were a goodly number of people inside(always a good sign in my book), but not tooo many. Crowds are not my thing! I was by myself and the super nice, cool bartender(he’s also an owner?) set me up a nice seat at the bar to have food and drinks. I always appreciate a place with local craft beer. The Fourpure pale ale, brewed in London, was served up with a frosted glass. A+ I had the vegetarian lasagna, and almost passed out from bliss halfway through. It’s like if you took the best lasagna you ever ate and made it twice as good. I couldn’t tell there wasn’t meat in it. I don’t know how they did it?! Maybe it’s the locally sourced British produce?! I didn’t have coffee here, but I can only imagine it’s brewed with the same care and deliciousness. If I was staying closer to Soho I would definitely be back for breakfast. I’m shocked only 13 people have reviewed this independent gem so far, but, maybe the Brits are keeping this one to themselves! I can’t say as though I blame them! Damson & Co. is definitely on my list of London favorites!

The beetroot salad is much much too salty. Espresso isn’t good either. I suppose they excel at the poached eggs.

After looking for ages for somewhere for drinks last night, we chanced upon Damson & Co and fortunately as there were two spots left at the bar we were able to go in. The bar /restaurant(?) is beautifully decorated in a very low lit, with a slightly industrial feel to it. We weren’t too keen on all the boxes on show piled high up on the high shelves all around the space. The reason I awarded only 3 stars as opposed to 4 was because on ordering a carafe of wine our choice was unavailable though we sensibly had already chosen a back up. We decided to have a cheese platter and unfortunately both of our choices they didn’t have either! The platter was nice but there weren’t enough bits of bread or crackers. Although it was busy for the entire time we were there, we were disappointed with the service which was very slow and unimpressive for what you’d have expected from the venue. Located on one of my favourite Soho streets — Brewer Street — so convenient for public transport and going to other places.

Damson & Co in Soho is a lovely little restaurant with excellent wines and delicious flatbreads. It was an October evening when I was walking around Soho with a friend on our way to the theatre. I had been strolling down this street for many times, but now was the perfect opportunity to have a snack at Damson & Co. We entered the dimly lit venue and found two spots right at the window. We decided to settle for a little snack and ordered flatbreads. After a short wait, my flatbread arrived and after a slightly longer wait, my friend also got hers. It was a bit unfortunate, that one of our orders had taken a bit longer, as we had to make it to the theatre on time. Anyway, at the end we managed to get there before the musical started. Both of us were very happy with our flatbreads. They tasted fresh and were simple, yet full of great flavours. Topping the food was the wine. We had a lovely, crispy British white, Sedlescombe 2013 First Release, English White Wine — Biodynamic. An absolute delight, interesting, a bit edgy, but still easy enough to gently kick off a great evening. Despite the little delay, we pretty much enjoyed or time at Damson & Co. The place is beautiful with a good atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Damson & Co is perhaps the ideal place for a pre-theatre snack in Soho. I will definitely be back.

Great independent place, intimate but not wanky. Great hidden London find. Went in the evening — great selection of British manufactured drinks(or made by ‘Brits on tour’; massive gin selection but also wines and other spirits.(The Rumbullion spiced rum is unreal!) The owner or gent behind the idea was top, helpful with good chat and drink suggestions. Coffee shop by day, bar by night vibe. Check it!

So I have purple hair now which took around 4 hours to do and cost an arm and a leg! But before that. I went for eggs because you know, sitting in a chair hungry is just SO not my style. And if anyone knows– hungry Yinnie is cranky Yinnie and no one wants that. Wandered around soho looking for breakfast and there was this one sign that said EGGS. And it was like already 12 and I had breakfast on the brain! And also my hairstylist told me to get food first because he had a customer he was attending to! And apparently I’m easily swayed by the thought of food. ANYWAYS I DIGRESS. I’m pretty sure Damson and Co is a new addition to soho because I haven’t seen it before! Anyways, it’s this cute little wooden coffee shack and the china is just as adorable. I ordered a green tea and and a scrambled eggs with smoked haddock. The haddock was beautiful and the eggs were just cooked. I just wished the bread underneath wasn’t so hard and crunchy. It hurt to eat it! Green Tea was good stuff, not the best but still pretty solid. And I sat by the windows with the sun streaming in, thinking I was in a cute shoreditch café and not soho! Great place for a solo breakfast! And I didn’t get to try the coffee this time but I’ll be back because I smelt some amazing beans! But only taste will tell!

There are some very good places in central London at which you can satisfy your caffeine addiction. Damson & Co. is one of them. Located in the heart of Soho, it’s a small, beautifully designed café/restaurant that has bags of atmosphere. My friend and I had two small lattes each when we visited the place recently. They were delicious. They cost £2.50 each — a little on the steep side perhaps but they were served in quite large glass mugs. So, they were reasonable value for money. Service was friendly but could have been a little more efficient. We waited over 5 minutes after ordering for the first round of coffees to arrive(although, to be fair, there was no such delay with the second round). We were given a bottle of tap water to share between us for each of the 2 rounds of coffee. I did not sample any of the food that was on the menu — but the orders that were delivered to neighbouring tables looked very inviting! There is, in fact, a reasonably extensive food menu from which to choose. Organic juices and wine are also available. Damson & Co. is a delightful place to visit. I certainly intend to return there as often as I can. 8⁄10.

This is one of my favourite coffee spots. The atmosphere is really chilled and they serve great coffee and food. My favourite drink to order is the flat white, or an iced latte on a hot summers day. If you’re going in for brunch, I’d recommend the Damson Muffin, definitely filled up my happy tummy! The eggs Benedict is also pretty awesome. And also the freshly baked madeleines with dipping chocolate and lemon curd, if you have a sweet tooth like me! They do a selection of charcuterie and cheese boards, which personally I haven’t tried, but it’s definitely on my to-do list! Conveniently located in the heart of Soho, it’s definitely worth a visit.

My best hidden food gem of 2014 so far Located in the last unreformed part of the old slightly seedy Soho, it would be a shame to miss Damson & Co because you’re trying to avoid eye contact with the sex-related industries in the area Marketing itself as a British deli on its signage, the menu has a good mix of dishes suitable for brunch(organic eggs, anyone?), fresh made sandwiches for lunch through to what I ordered for tea I was pleased to see fresh pressed juices on the drinks menu, especially my favourite pear, which is so hard to find in the UK though common on the continent. There was a generous amount of sweet pear — I lapped up every last drop Now to the reason I popped in here — I had spied freshly made madelines on the menu. Once I confirmed that they would be cooked to order, my order went in and before long, a tray of warm(so important!), yummy, slightly lemony mini madelines arrived. They were accompanied by lemon curd and thick chocolate sauce. My only criticism would be that the chocolate sauce was hard to get out of the narrow necked jug it was served in. It would have been nice to have the sauce in a bowl so I could dip the madelines in So, if you’re in the area at teatime, come here for some fresh baked madelines. You can thank me later

While staying in SoHo on a recent trip to London I decided to explore the winding streets without any real destination in mind and when a pang of hunger struck during these explorations I popped into this little café on Brewer Street. Cozy and warm, D&C features a selection of English specialty foods and drinks. They even feature a bevvy of wines from the U.K. — something that I hardly knew existed. As far as the menu goes, seemed they had a pleasant brekkie selection but lunch was brief. Worry not, however, since all I really was in the mood for was a warm cup of soup and some toast. Service was on point, prices weren’t ridiculous and the food was simple but tasty. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area searching for somewhere pleasant(with free WiFi) to grab a bite or a spot of tea.
