I’m giving it four stars if for no other reason that it’s a pub near Paddington Station that isn’t packed with mumbling tramps and p-d up old codgers. Despite the odd name, it’s clean and friendly. Has plenty of room inside and enough tables outside to watch the various flavours of homo-sapien migrate too and from the station. So. In the unlikely event of your train being delayed or cancelled(cough), don’t put up with the dreadful bar in the station. Plonk yourself here and explain to your SO why you’ll be late again.

I was introduced to the fine Gyngleboy wine bar when I first started working in the area. It is a great little wine bar, quite authentic with wooden seats, cosy corners, wine barrels, very large champagne bottles on display and staff who know their wines. The food is the kind that you share(meats, cheeses, bread, olives etc). The wine is not cheap but it is a decent wine bar. It’s no Gordons but it is not far behind! So if you are around Paddington and fancy a nice glass of vino, this is the place to go to! (Very close to the station).

how can one go wrong with a name like that? we did. food tasted like pre-made food from M&S and reheated just for us. and while pre-made food from M&S is alright for a grab and go, it’s not exactly what i have in mind for a gastropub with gastropub prices. i think places near paddington cater to non-repeat customers. stick to the alcohol at this joint. although, i have a better selection at home so i’ll stay in…
