This place is run by a charismatic Indian gent with his wife. He and his team serve a big range of sandwiches, unusual in that they are mostly based on Indian-style fillings. I had Tikka Masala served in a massive soft bap with yoghurt, cucumber and raisins. It reminded me of a creamier, spicer version of coronation chicken. Also, it’s the sort of sandwich that you might make some lazy evening when all you have energy for is putting some of last night’s dinner in between two lumps of bread. You know the sort: lasagne in a roll, or the famous Christmas sandwich enjoyed in our house at about midnight on Christmas Day. Anyway, I digress. This place is great. I was brought here for my birthday treat a couple of years ago — my girlfriend knows where my priorities lie! A wholly original, veggie-friendly and healthy take on the mighty sandwich. Outdoor seating and beers available.
