Been going to this gym a little less than a month now, and everything has been solid. Good gym with reasonable equipments, a swimming pool with sauna, squash and tennis courts, and a «chill out area» with a table tennis table. I signed up for platinum membership, which came with five free passes for guests. Really good to spend a weekend day with a friend or two, just making the most out of all the facilities. Also love the environment. Dolphin Square is quite pretty even just to walk around. Lastly, service is overall good. The gentleman that helped me sign up for membership was very helpful and responsive, though I’ve also come across a few staff members who were less than helpful. Would generally recommend!

We got a complimentary pass for this place during our stay at the Dolphin Square, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the facility. The fitness room has a great assortment of weights and machines, the pool is well kept, clean and inviting, and they have other cool features like squash courts, tennis courts, and a sauna. I’m not sure how much gym memberships go for in London, so it’s hard to say of it’s worth 70 pounds a month. However, if you need a top notch facility in Pimlico, this is the place.

Just got back from a class of «Body Pump»(yes, I pump iron, I also turn my nose up at Champagne and like Scotch on the rocks — somehow these are all related) and am once again reminded what a *fantastic* gym this is. Fun classes with endearing instructors, state-of-the-art cardio and weight machines in a room that is KEPTCOOL, and an ice blue oxygenated pool that looks pristine enough to entice even a germaphobe like me. Did I mention psuedo-Aveda products in the showers! Unfortunately, it’s also sort of one of those aspirational places… membership fees are on the low-end of astronomical(70 quid a month is their bargain basement offer). So(for me) I think, «hmmm, well… if I trimmed here and there…» But in the end, I simply can’t justify it and have to resign myself to the lowly likes of Fitness First till«someday…» Till then, I still manage to have friends offering up their guest passes now and again, which I happily snatch up so that I can swim, or pump iron in the solitude of this fitness oasis… which I naturally follow up with a Scotch on the rocks.

I was looking for a gym to join that was close to my home, and this one is literally around the corner. I was happy and enthusiastic of finally getting in shape; I went to check out the place and the fees. This place used to be a really awful looking sports center, according to a friend that came here a few years ago, but it had a pool and it was relatively cheap. With that info in my head I thought… «Good this is my option». The place is nicely decorated, the pool is amazing, very boutique style, but the gym is not finished yet, so they showed me a demo on a computer of how it was going to look. Lame! Then the prices, with a monthly founders fee of £70 and a £105 monthly fee for charter rate I had to laugh. This fee includes use of the single tennis court, which if you want to bring a friend, they have to pay the extortionate fee of £15 for a day’s membership. It’s too expensive and they are not even that good.
