The great thing about the Duke of Cambridge is that they manage to pull off being«not your average pub» while maintaining the comforts and fixings of everything you love about a typical London drinking establishment. You’ve got your regular bar flies & locals, comfortable couches and armchairs, fireplace, cute 20-something waitress/bartender, and above average food at a reasonable price. What you don’t have is the yelling and screaming that most Brits are comfortable calling conversation, but I am not. It’s civil, and there is peace in that. Since I started going there, I’ve rarely seen it crowded yet, but make no mistake that doesn’t mean it is dead either. You’d probably be best reserving a table on game nights. Would I go out of my way to patron DOC? Probably not, but I live across the street so there’s that… Also, they have a covered patio which I can see getting a lot of use out of during warm summer nights.

Came past this place on our way elsewhere and decided to stop for lunch. Pleasant experience and good value for money with the £5 lunch menu. Recommended.

This is a Youngs Gastropub in SW London. Pretty good food here and a lovely atmosphere. I especially enjoy the sausage and mash! Great staff. Prices are reasonable. Poker on Tuesday nights are especially fun, and then you have the Pub Quiz on Wednesdays. They are usually pretty busy so be sure to get there early or make a booking to make sure you have a table.

A standard Youngs pub in Battersea, not a bad place to meet up with your friends. Includes a covered outside area for when the weather is slightly better. You can hire or reserve areas if a celebration is needed.
