Bön, frais, efficace ! En plein Notting Hill. Restaurant japonais à la décoration minimaliste. Le restaurant proposé des sushis, gyoza, légumes sautés. C’est bon et efficace. Beaucoup de monde: réserver.

My go-to Japanese comfort food! Great portions. Authentic and reasonably priced. This place gets pretty hectic to make a reservation or come early. The staff is friendly enough, though sometimes they seem super busy. My faves are the tempura don(awesome sauce), tori-Kage, fatty tuna sashimi, and all the bentos.

Being a resident of the smiling little neighbourhood of NottingHill, i figured I would give this small little joint a try, and I’d say I’m a fan. By fan I mean the following though: I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, though in the grand scheme of things it’s an above average joint. Good quality food, good sashimi, decently priced, great selection, attentive staff. I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could, but it’s arguably just A-Ok.

We took a Teriyaki Salmon Bento Box for lunch. The portion has really nice size, definitely manly size. Price was very good as well — £5. But the waiting time(20min) and serving wasn’t up to London Lunch Leage

Very delicious authentic Japanese food! As a Japanese, it had been difficult to get satisfied with Japanese food in London until I visited there! I will definitely visit there again sometime especially when I get homesick. haha The taste is quite same as food in Japan! They use some typical Japanese ingredients like SHISO(Japanese herb)! Each plate, Donburi and Jyu is very volumy so all of us got full after we ate half of them. The price is good! Even dinner it costs around £16 per person! But I wish there were more smaller size with a bit cheeper options! The waitors and waitresses were so cheerful and helpful so we had a very pleasant evening! I felt they enjoy communicating with customers!

Eat Tokyo in Notting Hill is crazy bunk. You walk in and you look at your sister quizzically, at the same time wondering if she’s making a joke by bringing you here, and at the same time sad that she’s thinks this is ok. Nigiri sushi was fine, if flavourless, but the rolls, oh Christ, thank god I’d asked for extra napkins because that first and only bite had to go somewhere other than my stomach. Chicken karaage was very fatty and was not worth the calories, same goes the tempura. The server was sweet but kindness is not love and sadly cannot conquer all.

Absolute little gem of a sushi place. Hidden off the maim road in nottinghill, a two. minute walk from the station. When you walk in you would be forgiven for thinking this is a small takaway shop but the tavles are through the back. We a friendly waitress in colourful kimino. You csn see the sushi checs busy st work in the open kitchen area. Whilst this place is a little cramped it really is worth it. The fish tastes extremely fresh and the salmon and tuna sashimi were melt in the mouth. I found the tempura vegetables a little flavourless and the dipping sauce for it didn’t have much taste however this is my only complaint. The fried seafood dumplings were delectable and a bargain at £3 for 4. I am a bit of a spicy tuna maki aficionado and the standard here is good. The plum wine was sweet and delicious too! With lots of sushi restaurants vying for business I really feel that this place is a cht above the rest.

Loved every bit of this place! From the little wooden tables to the lovely staff… and seriously not to mention the superb food! We ordered one round of sushi(the prawn tempura rolls are too die for!), sashimi, teriyaki tuna and the grilled aubergine and polished it off so quickly that we ordered another round of exactly the same! The bill for the 5 of us came to £24 each and that includes the beers and sake we had… all in all I would say super reasonable. I’ll be heading back asap!

I love this place. The only thing holding them back from 5 stars is their atrocious service. Pro: Delicious authentic sushi at a reasonable price point. What more do you want at a sushi place! Classic hole-in-the-wall ambiance. You feel like you’re in Japan! Con: The carry-out business interferes pretty massively with the dining experience(e.g., people will be waiting for their food and be all up in your grill depending on your table location.) When it gets busy, it takes forever to order and get your food Bad service in general, but the food is so amazing you just don’t care Pretty unimaginative selection of sushi rolls(but the ones they do have are great!)

I love this place. It has such a buzzing and fun atmosphere, any day of the week. I would advise booking in advance if possible to avoid having to wait, as it is very popular and books up very quickly. You can eat here cheaply or expensively, as its extensive menu allows a variety of choices that should fill you up very satisfyingly. I would highly recommend the Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box…£9, lots of options, and will 100% fill you up, more than you will most likely need. DELICIOUS. Dates are wonderful here as its buzzing atmosphere masks any potential awkward silences and it’s relaxed vibe and quick service means that if it’s going badly… you shouldn’t have to endure it for too long!!! And sharing starters such as Gyoza is always quite romantic ;-)

Some of the best sushi in London! A must go! You know you have found a good japans place when it is filled with Japanese people!

We waited about 45 minutes to sit on a Sunday at 2:00 pm. It was packed which is always a good sign. The place is tiny. We were super excited to have sushi but a bit disappointed when we left. Everyone else seemed to have ordered much better dishes than our table and a lot of it. Our rolls were quite boring and not very tasty.

Great quick and helpful service from start to finish. Got the teriyaki chicken bento, chicken was juicy and sweet. Great value for money and filling for Japanese. Authentic Tokyo vibe and décor, hassle free and informal eating. We tipped on top of the service charge as the staff all work hard and look tired.

So, here food very is good. Essential, fresh, true Japanese. We had an amazing sashimi boat(one of the first time I’ve tried a 100% sashimi one — most of the times it is a sushi mix) and several rolls which we could not get tired of. And the price, a pleasant surprise — great quality/price ratio. On the other hand, it is a very informal place — not fancy, neither romantic. Good for a casual dinner, or when you do not need to impress.

5 stars only because of this shitty rating scale. It’s not perfect but I really liked the place. Food; very tasty and fresh, small sushi menu, looks like they are aimed more towards actual traditional Japanese food. Price; For London, outskirts, and it’s on a smaller side portions I think it’s at two ££. Service; this is large one for me, employees atmosphere is very important to me for a good dining experience. Everyone was smiling, working well together. Multiple servers that kept everything under control without any mistakes. Verdict; I highly recommend! Make sure you make a reservation.

I have mixed feelings on this place. Great prices and really tasty sushi… but I had terrible food poisoning when I returned to my flat. If you watch the staff carefully thru the open kitchen while you wait for a table you will notice a woman using her bare hands while putting sushi onto the plates. I’m not sure if I got sick from their kitchen not following health and sanitation rules or if the sushi they serve wasn’t fresh.

Don’t know what the hype is. Chirashi had subpar quality fish with a piece of tuna that has a very slight color unevenness that was very slightly falling apart(a sign it’s not fresh). The sashimi was of much better quality but in a good restaurant they should never serve questionable quality raw fish in another dish that was of a lower profit margin/price. You should just use the parts of fish that is cheaper or just give less. But never use lower quality(I.e. Older less fresh). Most of the menu was typical Westernized sushi/sushi roll items that was not the most inspiring menu I have ever seen in my life. In fact I am rather uninspired. The prices are very reasonable but then it is because the quality is not the best I has seen(average). Service was so-so, in fact the server gave everyone’s bills and I gave up waiting for mine after 10 – 15 minutes despite trying to chase down people. I almost felt like I needed to walk out for them to action. The restaurant is managed by one or two Japanese person but the kitchen is mainly staffed w people of Southeast Asian background(they are competent of course just want to point out not everyone is Japanese as some reviews may lead you to believe). You should strive to eat fresher and better Japanese food if you can. Otherwise this place will do fine if you need a quick fixer upper in this area(close to Nottinghill Gate tube station). I would only come back to this«meh» place if I had to… But not worth going out of my way.

Really delicious and, most importantly when it comes to sushi, FRESH food. Staff are pleasant and quick. Not much elbow room, as they’ve shoved as many tables and chairs as possible into this small space, but somehow it doesn’t bother me. One thing that does annoy me is they are quite strict when it comes to how long you can use the table for. They start to get finicky once you’ve gone over an hour. So this isn’t the place for you if you want to have a nice long relaxing meal. My favourite dishes are the prawn tempura roll, seaweed + cucumber salad, harumaki(spring rolls), & the chicken katsu(better than any chicken nugget you’ve ever had in your life)! Enjoy!

Top Sushi Restaurant of London at a very good price. The food is really amazing, some flavor are really feeling like you’re in japan. The restaurant is managed by Japanese staff, it probably helps. The room at the back is not so comfy but you go there for the food first. Taste is what matters and you won’t be disappointed here !

Right-ho. I’ve now ventured into take out proper sushi(like raaawwww fish RAAAWWWWHHHH!) and even ate in there(erm… yes. Super hungover. BUT I WASTHERE!) What can I say? Raw Fish– meh. I will definitely still be organising my sushi life around atari-ya or only order cooked rolls here out of desperation and/or laziness. Lunch– service was a bit hectic and slow but both the chicken teriyaki and chicken karaage bento were filling and excellent. Proper good fried food for hung over days. They get super busy and full after about 12 on a weekend. You’ve been warned.

Since I moved to London, I have been looking for a go-to sushi spot that isn’t too pricey and has fresh, quality sushi with a menu that has both authentic rolls as well as some fusiony/inventive rolls. So far, Eat Tokyo is the best place to satisfy all of those wants. Eat Tokyo is a small restaurant situated just off the hustle and bustle of Notting Hill Gate. They have an extensive menu that should satisfy sushi and non-sushi eaters alike. The fish is fresh and the items are priced reasonably by London standards. Something that I also really enjoyed is this didn’t seem like sushi place catering to Londoners in the city. I honestly feel like I’m back home in California when I come here, in a cozy sushi joint frequented mostly by regulars and locals. I think that’s the best about it honestly. In addition to the food and the vibe, the service is very good. They are very attentive, but also not rushing out out of your seats(even though this place does get very busy during dinnertime). I would highly recommend if you’re looking for some good fresh sushi that won’t break the bank.

Meine besten Sushi, gute Kreationen! Der Laden wirkt optisch«herausfordernd», aber der Eintritt lohnt sich definitiv! Absolut empfehlenswert!
