Wandered in after seeing some great Unilocal reviews and I have to say that I agree! The 3 of us in my group each ordered a different lamb dish, and I must say… It’s all good! Fresh, flavorful, melt in your mouth flavors. Pair it with a glass of wine and the outstanding bread they offer with your meal. It was nice to watch the charcoal grill through the glass window in their kitchen – these people really work to cook your food! The only downside is that the wait was considerably long, so only come here if you’re ready to relax and chat with friends and family.

We had a good surprise finding a cheap Sunday lunch with their special meze, with fresh ingredients.

This place is a genuine gem. A family owned and operated restaurant located just a few blocks east of the Prime Meridian at busy Trafalgar Road in Greenwich. Classy décor with lovely lamps and well located mirrors. You can see the charcoal grill from almost any seat. The grill is attended by Eli, the sweetest guy ever and a great and awesome chef. The food is to die for. We had two appettizers: spicy prawns and grilled turkish sausage, both great. The bread is top notch. The spicy lamb and lamb gouvec reminded us of Istabul, delectable, tasty, not greasy. Yummy. My partner had two Turkish beers and we had a Turkish bottle of Syrah that was surprisingly good. Eli sent us a courtesy selection of desserts that where out of this world. Best food experience in London. Will be back!

Quick service, free Internet, excellent food. I recommend. Olives and olive oil enriched bread spread are excellent.

This place’s sign outside declares it to be as a café and restaurant on its sign and from the outside does look like a smallish café, nothing special at all. Inside it is more what I’d expect of a restaurant and is quite nicely decorated with very nice(Turkish-looking?) lamps. Handily, it’s just far enough from the centre of Greenwich that we could park just over the road. We were met at the door by one of their very friendly staff. The menu is quite varied and lots of things appealed. I had a yoghurt drink which was fine. For starters we had the cold meze. It was very fresh and really good, if not totally delicious, though the bread that came with it was as good Turkish bread as I’ve had. For main course I had the mixed grill which came with rice and some well above average salad. It had all been prepared on their charcoal grill as I watched. A good mixture of pieces of different meats, a lovely piece of lamb on the bone and some kind of very meaty and superbly-spiced kebab that had been cooked on a skewer. I’m not sure what you’d call it. Everything tasted good, no fat or oil or chewiness, I’d definitely have it again. I also tried some of my girlfriend’s imam bayildi. I’d had this kind of thing before but never one like this, with delicious onions and peppers on top, I instantly wanted to try to reproduce it at home. The quantities of everything we got were generous. It wasn’t a quick meal; come here for a long meal with friends, have a couple of drinks and you won’t mind the pace. The atmosphere was very relaxed, I got the impression that the people here were regulars and we will certainly come back too.

Heard of imambayildi? Me neither. It sounded really interesting the way that Efe’s Meze’s extremely eager to please new management described it. It seemed to feature wrapping and baking and re-wrapping and oil and stuff like that. I wish I had taken notes, because when I went back to pre-book my order(we were a large group) I was bowled over by the meat and fish options. I figured I’d nick some off my friends plates. Very decent meze with decent portions and a touch heavy — even for Turkish food. Still, if you’re in the area and not up for pub grub…

I love this place! It’s just a short walk from Greenwich and well worth going to rather than staying around the town centre. The food’s always fresh and tasty and I could stay there eating bread and hummus all night.

This restaurant and recently opened for Lunch Menus too is quite nice, very relaxing atmosphere and décor inside and the food is delicious because it’s mostly done the traditional Turkish way stone baked over the grill. this is not your typical Oily Kebabish Take away it’s much higher standards. one or two a year they do Belly Dance nights I’ve been to two of them which was quite amusing and fun. You can pick’up a take’away at lunch such as the turkish pizza, kebab roll or for dinner without needing to book a table. prices are good too. I’d give 5 stars if they filled their plates a bit more, but maybe because I’ve been to all the wood green turkish restaurants too much.

This is a rather unusual restaurant in Greenwich and does not look like much from the outside, in fact it sort of looks like a café. Décor is rather turkish in style but the friendliness of the staff and unhurried atmosphere once you have your food is great and it is good for groups where you want to spend some time chatting during meal time as well. The food is well prepared and cooked and ample proportions. What more do you need at times?

This quality restaurant is situated on the rather unpleasant Trafalgar Road in Greenwich, and is the only reason I’d recommend actually stopping off on that road! It’s a Turkish restaurant, with a very bizarre and cute décor making the atmosphere feel like I’d imagine restaurants to be in Turkey. The food here is very reasonably priced with a vast menu. The vegetarian options are very good, and my boyfriend tells me the mixed grill is to die for. The service truly is a service with a smile, they serve fast but don’t make you feel like you need to hurry. It’s quite quiet during the week, and definitely worth a trip!
