I’ve been to Euston station so many times and I don’t know how I didn’t notice Euston Tap until this most recent visit earlier in the month. I regret not having found it sooner but I’m still glad I found it now. It’s a small place right outside Euston Station, but it has a very impressive selection of draught, cask, and bottled beers. They have outdoor seating and indoor seating. The beers they had on were varied, both in style and from where they’re from in the world. The beers were reasonably priced for the styles, and well maintained lines. All of those things are basically wall you want in a beer pub. It was packed when I visited and so I didn’t get to spend as much time there as I’d have liked. Even with the ground floor, upper level, and outdoor seating I ended up hovered around the stairs to drink my beer. I had only spent a little time here but it will be a good place for me to stop each and every time I travel down to London and so end up at Euston. Really one of the best places in the area to get craft beer and pass some time before or after a train.

Great beer(and cider across the road) with a cool outside atmosphere and decent prices.

Neat little pub just outside of Euston Station. Several craft beers on tap as well as cask ales. Quite a selection. Even saw a Dale’s Pale Ale from the USA! The upstairs area is accessed via a spiral staircase and, if it weren’t for the skylight, you could lose several hours up here.

Probably the best drink hang out in the area. Certainly the most unique. It has the cider tap too opposite which is also very good. Some good selection of beers and popular in the summer.

I’ve heard about Euston Tap from friends and colleagues and decided to pop in when I was in the neighborhood a few days ago. For some reason, I expected a large venue, but it’s very small with more seating outside than inside, deeming it a great place to go in the summer. The beer selection is quite varied and really reasonably priced. The service is good, however, when I was there, some of the staff asked everyone to get out of the beer garden bit to fix the umbrella, promising it’d take 5 minutes tops when in reality, it was an hour. That was unfortunate, as my friend and I were forced to sit at a less desirable table: high and shaky. However, I would still go back because it is a great little find right outside of the Euston station.

Man, did this place deliver! I wanted to sample some true British cask ales and they had a fantastic selection. I’m an out of towner, from NY, and I’ve spent 3 of my 4 nights in London drinking here. Cheers!

The last good independent place to get craft beer and cider(across the street) Huge selection of keg and cask beer of all sorts Tons of room outside to stand or sit. A little bit of room up a crazy twisty stairs to sit. Only complaint is toilets — ones men’s only with a trough a a the other is an actual toilet. Might actually be better off going over to Euston depending on the situation.

Love it!!! If you are into Belgian beer like I am, you are in for a treat. Completely laid back and casual vibes. I was here on a Sunday afternoon and it was relaxing, quite a rare gem to find right in the middle of the hustling bustling city. I suspect it was because of our awkward timing. Cool tip: did you know that you can purchase a pint and bring it across to their sister gate ‘cider tap’ to find a seat?

The Euston Tap, and it’s newer neighbour, the Cider Tap are situated outside Euston Station on the Euston Road. The Euston Tap specialises in craft beers from around the world. The claim to have no affiliation with any breweries and are therefore free to focus on the selecting, what they consider the best beers possible. The selection is impressive with 8 rotating cask ales. They also offer 20 keg beers and have fridges offering up to 150 bottle beer varieties. If you are not a beer drinker they do serve wine and spirits as an alternative. I’ve been coming here on and off since I saw it a few years back, and was intrigued as to waht had become of this small Victorian gatehouse. It is very small, with a seating area upstairs, and no seating at the bar. They also have plenty of seating outside, which is great if the weather is good. The toilets are accessed by negotiating a spiral staircase, so I’m not sure if drinking too many of the strong beers is advisable. I wasn’t sure wether to give this plce 3 or 4 stars. I plumped for 4, purely as there is no other pub like it in London, so it hold a novelty value, plus it has such a ahuge variety of beers on tap. I keep coming back, so it must be doing something right!

I thought Id reviewed this already. Maybe it’s because I don’t know if I like it or not. It’s certainly come in handy a few times when Im around the neighborhood and don’t want to go to a touristy chain pub for a few pints. I’ve had mixed service here. Sometimes helpful suggestions(because I’m not a beer connoisseur) and sometimes straight up eye rolls at me for questions about the selections on tap. Not many places to sit but it’s understandable based on the location. Meh, like I said, it’s nice for a different, interesting place to go within the area for beer(or cider next door, but that’s a different review)

Allofthecraftbeer! Having never been here before, I was pleasantly surprised at the amazingly vast selection the Euston Tap has on hand. Plenty of options on tap and then at least as many more in bottles. Fast service and lots of outside space(owing to little inside space). The one downside is that the rugs/mats on the floor were so soaked in drinks that I quite literally almost got my shoes stuck down! But overall a great little place if you’re a fan of unique options.

Ahhhh… Euston. The main gateway into the Cap City from Birmingham for me. I have been here much more than usual over the last year or so(with work, gigs and seeing friends), so have been spending much more time at the Train Station than I have done in previous years. I would normally just head to Euston to catch my train and that’s it — but I now have a reason to get there early(or indeed, head here as a destination) and that is the Tap. I first visited with my beer loving Mancunian colleague Jonny Quirk. Being a bit of regular in Landan Town, when we were looking for a place to grab a nice pint after a hard day’s Unilocalin’, he recommended the Euston Tap. We were staying in a hotel around the corner, so it seemed like a good local choice. There are two bars opposite each other under the same ownership; The Euston Tap and The Cider Tap. Both have an extensive selection of craft drinks to choose from and not unreasonable prices. They’re both pretty bijoux spaces inside, but with a choice of seating, an upstairs area and tables outside(for those rare days when you can enjoy a cold one in the sun). The worst thing(and the best thing, I suppose) about these bars, is that they aren’t really there for the people using the station. They don’t open until 2pm, so are mainly geared out for evening drinks and a quiet afternoon pint. The Tap doesn’t serve food, but you can always grab something locally and sit on the tables outside to eat. If you’re around Euston and want a quality pint of ale at a good price, check this place out. It’s a nice space to grab a chat with a friend and enjoy one of their extensive selection of ales.

What a totally lovely little place. I stopped on for a swift half(which swiftly turned into two halves) when I arrived in London to find myself temporarily friendless. I could have remained all day without a single complaint — great range of beer(of course), super friendly staff, bewilderingly reasonable prices. My Pilsner was crisp and refreshing, I enjoyed my raspberry cider less so but can mostly blame that on a bad choice on my part(it was too cidery for my liking). I now find myself hoping that next time I take a trip to London, my train is delayed coming back so I have a great excuse to spend a good few hours here.

If you like alcohol, come here. Really. It’s that simple. Whether you’re a beer aficionado(my date), or need something different(read: fruity or sweet) to make you enjoy the taste of beer(like me), you’ll find a good pint here. Euston Tap has dozens of types to choose from, at a variety of percentages and prices. Its proximity to Euston Station means that it’s perfect for in-and-out pint guzzling. Seating is limited to a few tables upstairs, and small standing tables outside the small building. You wouldn’t want to stay for hours(since you may not find an open seat during busy evenings), but the Tap is worth stopping by for a quality pint.

I am hard pressed to think of a place I want a craft beer more than when I am at the train station. Euston tap is a craft beer bar located in a stone building past the station — reminiscent of the stations past. Steeped in the history permeating the location the charming bar has become a beacon of light amid this bleak and otherwise dismal station. The best part of this place is its vast selection– boasting over a dozen craft beers no drought alone(closer to twenty in all). It has an equally well stocked array of bottles to choose from as well. Upstairs is the drinking area, which is unfortunately pretty small but it becomes a lot more comfortable and bearable after you’ve a couple beers in you. The staff is friendly and add to the appeal. I doubt one would be disappointed by Eauston Tap.

Great pints? Check! Happy staff? Check! Long customers? Check! If you are near Eustion Station due to a train delay, or simply hanging around, this is the place to go. Especially on those nice days that you can stand outside and enjoy a cool breeze. I highly recommend visiting with friends or cool and relaxed clients.

The truth is that when you end up at all the usual suspects — airports, football grounds and train stations, it tends to be that you have to put up with a mix of generic, sponsored by big brands bars and food stalls — all selling a core range of mass produced, frozen rubbish! What really makes me day, my month and my year is finding the places that buck the trend and offer something totally amazing in unexpected locations. Euston Tap is one of those places(and Cider tap, 15 seconds across the road) and once you walk in, you’ll be super impressed by their changing range of 27 taps of great craft beer — all from well known domestic and international breweries such as Thornbridge, Sierra Nevada and Harbour. With some pretty happy bartenders who love working there(I know because I got chatting to one of the barmaids last night) and with a good range of product knowledge, it’s also refreshing to see that you don’t get overcharged for the privilege of enjoying one of the best selections of beers in London. The only thing I’d warn you is that it’s not really somewhere to go and sit down, most of the time you end up standing up due to it’s popularity(and size) — there is however a great beer garden to the sides but you’ll need to get down there early on a sunny day — it’s a battle to get your sunny spot of the sidewalk!!! If you’re travelling around the UK — there is also the Sheffield and York Taps(both also by the train stations) so check them out.

Beer beer beer beer beer beer beer. Did I mention they have beer here? Euston Tap is well named. It’s right next to Euston Station and they have beer taps… and not a lot else. It’s a tiny stone building with a huge selection of beers, both on tap and in bottles. There’s a few tables on the first floor and a few more on the second(after taking a tiny winding staircase) and outside, but really, this is a spot to grab a beer and stand with your friends enjoying it. And oh how I enjoy it. The one thing I wish Euston Tap did better is educate their staff. Don’t get me wrong, you talk to the right bartender and he or she can tell you all about every single beer they have. But the last time I was there, I asked if they had any Belgium-style wheat beers(wanting that for some reason) and she gave me a terrified look and had to go ask someone else. And when there’s a giant queue behind you trying to move their way in, that’s never fun. Still, this place is an Oasis of drinking heaven. For those who love beer, welcome home.

We visited Euston Tap back in 2011 and I was keen to visit again to see how it had changed. It was busy on a Sunday night(filled with lots and lots of men — ladies, take note if you’re looking for them all!). Heading to the bar I decided on a cider as I didn’t feel like a beer before dinner. I made the rookie mistake of opening the door to the ciders — bang! — about 4 bottles of beer rolled out onto the floor. Thankfully none broke, but I was pretty mortified. The bar guy came over and helped me tidy them up, and wasn’t even phased by my stupidity. He went off and got my cider, as well as my friend’s beer without another word about it. Thank you for being so kind! We perched outside and enjoyed our drinks. Euston Tap is a great place to visit, whether you’re a local or tourist. There is an upstairs seating area as well, up the narrow spiral stairs. Or you can pop over the road to the Cider Bar, but sadly that wasn’t open on a Sunday night. Next time!
