The food here is insane. Although most of the best food is cold(which you can heat at home later) the quality and flavours that come through are amazing. There are a variety of heat levels to cater to all tastes, however as they specialise in South Indian food, be ready for some of the food to blow your head off. Get a Limca from the fridge which goes perfectly with the food. But make sure you get some chicken and lamb, plus the okra curry is great. Also get some milk to calm the heatwave in your mouth. Enjoy.

Lovely people, however, the seafood mixed curry was awful, full. of tinned tomatoes and a minimal amount of seafood. Only ordered it because the normally excellent squid and cuttlefish curries were unavailable. Vinisha, next door used to be amazing, went there with a guest two weeks ago it it was appalling. Embarrassingly so. These two have to improve, otherwise there is absolutely no point in visiting this part of south London. Return visits to Everest point o a great upturn in food again. Lamb Biryani with squid curry on top is once again the absolute bomb. Vinisha, alas, still a grave disappointment

Cheap as chips but not sacrificing quality, Everest is a paragon of South Indian/Sri Lankan food. The Vadai served hot with pickles make for a great starter, failing that, try the fish roll. The curries are simple, lamb, chicken or fish, with vegetarian sides like daal, chick peas, spinach, potato curry and the like. The food here is hot, South Indian and Sri Lankan food tends to be. But you will also get coconut and cooling yoghurt or, if you seek it out, sugar cane juice too to help manage the temperature. It’s a delightful resource much appreciated by the local community. Not much in terms of décor, but if it’s good food you’re after then this is your place.

Was put onto this at a BBQ, Sri Lankan food done very well! for £4.50 you get a rice, a main dish and 2 vegetable side dishes. All food is pre cooked and heated which i was a little worried about, but after spending an hour there the passing Sri Lankan communities trade cleared all of the chilled dishes twice over. Nothing seems to have names, but the contents speak for themselves, meat, fish and chicken mains come in spicy or mild varieties. but they are all pretty spicy. I would recommend the spicy lamb. class
